Wackmidget and Junny WTF ?

I've been playing this game for about 2 years, and this will be my first time to flame someone. I've seen people do underhanded things in my time, but this was pretty crappy in my opinion.

Wackmidget and Junny were in my xp party in Kuftal Tunnel. The NM Pelican spawned. Our party decided it'd be pretty sweet to kill it. So we rest up to kill it, and Wackmidget pipes up " [Experience Points] [Yes,Please]" So, we don't kill the mob, because he doesn't want to kill the NM.

Well, it just so happens about 10minutes later tops, his LS shows up. He disbands, parties up with his LS and kills the NM. Our party is pretty stunned, I mean he pretty much gave it to us in the ass. So we assume that we'd get a new person to continue xp'ing right? Wrong, Junny invites his gay ass back into the party. It was a quick warp cudgel back to Jeuno as soon as that happened.

So yeah, I think you're an Asshat Wackmidget. A huge oatmeal shaped lump of old man flesh. Have a nice day.
 
Maybe he thought the pty just wasnt strong enough to take it down, but he knew his LS mates would be able to? I wouldnt know......I've never seen the NM before. But.....if yall could have taken it down, then yea....that guy's just a little sneaky bag of crap. :(
 
i know a wakmidget but not sure if its the same one. if it is thats a total low ball thing to do. good for you to warp out of that situation.
 
Yes, we could have easily killed the NM. We had an awsome Ninja. His name was Ruffy. Rest of the set up was rdm,blm,whm,thf,nin,smn. We were levels 73-75 so it would have been cake. (Note: it was just a party of LS mates that came to help him)
 
Hi there. I am the leader of the linkshell that apparently got called in (Wak is a member of CK) so I will take responsibility for what went down and attempt to defuse the situation.

For the past 40 mins or so I've been talking with folks involved trying to get the story. I know Wak to be an extremely helpful little taru, and he works exceptionally hard to help improve our LS every day. He would never intentionally screw people over for his own personal gain.

As such, when he saw the NM pop, his first reaction was to let his LS know that a NM was up in the area. He had not expected your exp party to target the NM, and had let the shell know as soon as it popped. It was after his initial "/l hey guys the NM is up", that your exp PT noticed it and spoke about killing it. Having already let CK know that it was up (it seems we had folks on the way) he didn't want to get involved with the exp PT killing it and opted to keep you guys exping so as to not compete against his own linkshell.

When our team arrived he did disband and join the CK team briefly to help kill it. I agree with you- this looks pretty bad from your perspective. His intentions were not to screw you guys out of a kill, he was merely supporting his LS that had already been alerted to the presence of the NM. The CK team that had been called in wasn't even aware that the exp PT had any interest in killing the NM until after the fact, and would have backed down had we been informed you guys wanted to try it.

Now I don't entirely agree with Wak's actions here, and I sympathize with your party. I hope you guys can understand that he was already stuck in somewhat of a pickle and by no means meant to mess with your kill.

If there is any way we could make this up to you guys shoot me a tell in game and CK would be happy to make things right for the other 5 members of your party. Once again for all of CK, we are sorry that this situation appears the way it does.

THIS is how you fix a problem. NOT letting the general public make thier own assumptions while having the accusers fan the hate fires (See: Vakkyrs topic)

As far as I know, Junny is a gilseller. With Large, Arcgood, and a few others who I can't really remember right now. 75RDM/11WAR right now.

Because you know everything every HNM LS ever does at all times, right? Its nice to see someone dispeling this with some honor, but dont use ignorant generalizations.

I think Wak should've told the exp pty that he already told his LS about it and they were on their way or at least notified them about what was going on at least, rather than just acting blindly.

The lack of communication was really what made the situation bad.
 
It is an honorable thing to do to take responsibility for the actions of your linkshell and to offer to make amends. For that I salute you.

However...the question is what you do with the information you have to prevent it from happening again. It really is irrelevant when he told his ls the nm was there. He made a point of dissuading people in the immediate vicinity...his own exp party...from claiming an nm they had every right to claim for the gain of his own linkshell. That doesn't only reflect poorly on him but on the ls. It's one thing if no one is there to claim an nm and you pass along word to your shell. It's quite something different if people are standing right there and you purposefully misdirect them. It's just a crappy thing to do... I don't care how helpful or sweet anyone seems to usually be... that's just really underhanded behavior. Your apology and clear desire to diffuse a negative situation is admirable...It sounds to me like a momentary lapse in judgement on the part of Wak... I just hope it doesn't become a pattern for the sake of your linkshell's reputation.

He's refering to times when HNMLS's end up on the Flamebord. Every other time it happens, the LS either ignores it and hopes it goes away (Valkyrs) or just screams at everyone because "its not thier buisness how they run the shell" "STFU noob, we've been here for X years so we>you" (OH/BoL)
 
its a crappy ass NM with a stupid weak shield that youd never even think of having to begin with..

think about it.. will you use it in exp? no youll use staves.

Will you use it solo? no youll use genbu shield (if you arent subbing nin)

Whats that? you dont have genbu shield, arent 75, or dont have a god LS?

then maybe u shouldnt be soloing.. U should be exping to get 75 or making friends so u can join a god shell lol.

well anyways, the shield isnt that bad, but its definetely nothing good to argue about lol. The dang NM is up everytime I exp down there.. not like anyone camps it everyday.
