what happened to these fights? the 18 man avatr fights i am speaking of...

they have seem to been forgotten or brushed under the rug like a ugly blind date.

are they that hard? anyone care to enlighten me?
 
They take forever, the Carbuncle fight is a pain in the ass, and most of the drops suck

So maybe that's why
 
id be willing to complete these again, just not really willing to organize em =p
takes alliance, and that alliance has to commit and ACTUALLY ATTEND all 6 fights which can take upwards of 8 hrs including travel time, and usually about 12 hrs including gather time just to be able to do the full moon fountain bc.
I did the whole thing once, and all but garuda a 2nd time but it fell apart.

I understand that currently the prevailing theory goes something like

Get all the items, have bc access and fight carby
OR
after fighting carby restart quest, get all items and fight again
OR
dont restart quest, and can "help" anyone whose gotten all the items
OR
get all the items, enter carby bc, and ppl exit before end so that they keep their ability to start the bc and others can re-enter. Farm.


and the items dont suck as much as, only dont suck when you have a smn able to keep a specific smn out for long periods of time for you to capitalize on the bonus... which is effectively never

carbypole rocks.

I loved the quest, despite how much I died in the carby BC. I think 8 hours may be pushing it. I think we did all avatars in around 5 hours and the carby BC the night after. Anyway, were there with us Nico, so you could be right. I'd probably join another one, but it would need to be on a saturday or sunday afternoon. I can't wait to see what they add after this quest, it eluded to further plot development at the end. People should do this if they have the time. Make a static if ya need to ^^
 
I have the items i missed the carby fight BC so id love to finally finish this
 
i wasnt really looking to plan something, scine i dont have acess to them yet (gotta turn in my carby ruby still LOL)

just wondering how hard they accually are, from first hand exsperiance
 
Well, my group had a lot of great people, and due to previos "trial and error" runs, we figured out a good strategy for taking them down. So, the avatar battles are easy as long as you have a good team. The carby BC was a close call, but we wont. Unless it's handled right it will be very difficult to win. Shining Ruby x5 = ; ;

Edit: was it six?
