Wanna buy every super nintendo game ever made?

As entertaining as it would be to have those bragging rights, there are some gaming atrocities I just don't want on my shelf. Some classics there... but a whole lot of stinkers.

The buyer, if the idiot exist, must be ignorant to roms and emulation.

Because the buyer is actually going to play all those games, as opposed to being a collecter.

that's so.. lolable. Most of those games aren't even worth playing. (well I'm assuming considering I really haven't played THAT many SNES games but most of them I have weren't all great.)

Take in mind this comes with a super scope <3 and the mouse for mario paint! Those weren't cheap back in the day!

Those of you scoffing at the price and the future buyer's alleged ignorance of emulators are failing to recognize the motivation in accumulating a collection like that in the first place.

The point isn't to PLAY those games. The point is simply to OWN them. In fact, from the collector's point of view, submitting the cartridges to actual wear-and-tear use would be a horrifying idea. The fact that many of the games are rather low-quality and unplayably is irrelevant -- they're never going to be used for the purpose they were made. They're present only for completion's sake.

There are people in the world that would pay $150,000 (let alone $15,000) for ONE rare piece of Elvis paraphernalia, or a particularly obscure Coca-cola product. These people, also, would have no intention of actually using those items, ... they just want to own them. THAT is the mindset of a collector. It's materialism at its most intense level.

You can call the motivation to "simply own and display" stupid, certainly, but at least lob the insult accurately -- it has nothing to do with some out-of-touch idiot who's never heard of re-makes, emulators, or the Virtual Console.

Nope, sure didn't.

As much as I loved the SNES back in the day (one of my favorite consoles), I actually own very few games for it. Most of the stuff I played was either borrowed or rented. This is the sort of thing I'd buy if I had money falling out of my ass and could throw it away on stuff.

I'll settle for picking up the odd game here and there off eBay or Virtual Console.

Yeah same here. One of my favorite systems as well and I don't own a large liberary cause I too rented them. Mainly cause I was young then and didn't have a job. Recently I've been buying my old favorite SNES titles that I used to rent all the time on amazon. Library is growing now but only with games I enjoy. No need to waste money on getting a game just for the sake of having it and not playing it.
