Want a one of a kind Hyrule DS Lite?

A seller on eBay is currently selling a custom modded DS Lite, right now the bids are at $660, but I could imagine it going into the four digits soon.

According to the seller, 15% of the winning bid is going towards Childs Play charity. I would love to have that system, not even to play, just to showcase on my shelf, but it's way too much.

I corrected that for you. This is the work of just one, super-talented young man.

This really was an excellent idea he had. He invests some inital money into materials, spends a few hours/days of work modifying a console ... and it triples (or quadruples) in value. The fact that he doesn't repeat himself (all creations are "one-of-a-kind," so he claims) makes it all the better.

What's more, he donates something like 15% of each sale to Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity.

Beautiful DS Lite, but $800? Damn, son.

If I didn't already own a ds lite, I would pay $250 for that. Maybe $300, but it would have to come with some kind of master sword for my keychain.

Did you mean the light behind the Sword and Shield? He installed an LED there... but I'm also wondering how he installed an LED, I'm guessing he actually connected the LED to the DS Lite circuits..
