Only I know
I just wanted to make it clear that this country of ours, United States, would be a huge mess if John Kerry were elected president. Basically for the reason about the War in Iraq. The fool would have sent all or most of the troops back home and left Iraq to slowly deterierate. Now, i would not have been happy if he was elected. I believe that we will find weapons of Mass Destruction sooner or later. And Iraq will continue to be better off with our Troops there.

Okay. He won the election and he is my countries President. Democracy won, he was chosen, and I can live with that.

FYI the search for weapons of mass destruction was officially called off by the President. I am sure though that if someone happens to stumble across some they will report it.

Welcome to the boards.

Edit: Spelling of one word.

The search for Weapons of Mass Distraction was called off the other day (right after the election, convenient). Watch the news dude.

Ignorance might be bliss for you, but people are dying and suffering overseas because of it.

Next time you post something like this, there is a political sticky on the Flameboard.

This isn't flame-tacular in my opinion. I'm deciding to post a topic on the flameboard or here...I think I'll post it here.

Technically it is not a war. Congress has not declared war on Iraq. What are they calling it, a Police Action? or did that terminology become obsolete after Korea?

We want oil and easy money through reconstruction.
We need a scapegoat for our economy.
We need to fight convienent evils (Not Osama who we can't find, or the North Koreans who have the WMD).

People will say I'm speculating or whatever, but if the smartest advisors in the US said there were WMD and all of a sudden there are not, well, I guess I could be wrong too.

BTW, these three reasons was on a movie trailer back in the day when the IRAQ war was going on. They also had an option D. All of the above.

Can't find what's not there. They already called off the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" search. I agree with Onions, watch the news before posting political propaganda.

You say this like the U.S. is some sort of paradise, where cars and houses are exchanged for handshakes and smiles, and Kerry is the evil selfish liberal satan come to shit in our salad. The country is a mess. Our deficit is the worst it has ever been. Bush's handling of enviromental issues is horrendous, and over 1000 Americans have been killed in Iraq in a wild goose chase. It's almost Orwellian. Here's just one site out of the many you can find that details all these problems.

I agree yes that about 1000 americans have been killed in the War in Iraq from cheapshot bombings and what not. We have saved over 24 million Iraqis since the end of Suddam Hussiens regime. John Kerry would have called off the troops and had them back home. Then what? Thats it? Leaving the Iraqi Terrorists and Al' Queda to keep on planning the next attacks? "Perfect idea Mr. John Kerry! I give that a 10!" Thats what all those "libs" would be shouting when we have another bombing, and another, and another. I am aware of the search for "weapons of mass destruction" have been called off. But, theres always a "What if?" in these situations. Iraq may hate us and all that jazz but so what. We are helping them. Plain and simple. One of my friends said to me, "Yeah, i just dont understand why Bush doesnt just pull all the troops out, and just nuke Iraq to pieces." I gave him a look like this,

I'm glad Kerry lost. The last thing i would want in my country is more suicidal bombing attacks. Heck, one might be aimed at my house. Do we want this? NO! So, to all the Kerry supported and aids of suicidal bombings, i laugh at you and I mock you. Pfft. Good day.

Ok, you seem to have all your excuses in place, now let me ask you a simple question: why? Why are our troops in Iraq? Where are the links to Al Qaida? Where are the nukes? The nerve gas?
Yes, Sadam was a dick. He didn't need his own country. But if this is the criteria we are using to invade countries, then why aren't we invading North Korea, or stomping around in the several African nations with dictators?

First and foremost, we helped Saddam get that country. And then we take it away from him. Okay, whatever. Like that makes a whole lot of sense to begin with...

Now then. Onto other matters. Everyone knows that this conflict was spurned on out of revenge for Dubbayuh's daddy. Thats what we're fighting for. Not for oil. Not for the salvation of the Iraqi people (whom we put in peril to begin with). For revenge. Sure, salvation and oil are convinient excuses, but the truth is blatently obvious.

Next topic of discussion..

Sen. Kerry may have had an off stance for the war in Vietnam, and understandably so, because the conflict is the same on many levels with that of iraq. However, the war machine had already come to light. There is obviously no turning back now, and Mr. Kerry recognized that fact as dictated in the debate speech just before the november elections. I do recall, sitting in a parking lot, in a car, listening to the debate. Kerry stated clearly that Bush could not end the conflict during his term, he had severed too many ties, and burned all of his bridges. Kerry understood that there was no end to the conflict in sight, but if elected he would do his best to see to it that the troops were well cared for. He would see to it that all vehicles were armored and each soldier had protection for himself. And he would try and resolve the conflict as best he could. He fully understood that pulling our troops out now would sent the already unstable political climate of iraq into an irreversable tailspin. He didnt say he'd pull the troops out the instant he was in office. He didnt even allude to such a thing. As he stated clearly:

"We're in this for the long run."

So saying that Kerry lost is a good thing because he'd just up and pull the troops out of iraq is ignorant. I'm not even sure he actually lost, guessing from the former election that took place four years ago...

And I for one didnt vote for Bush. Just think of it like this, Lord Thorr. Our nation will be remember for these eight years as being war mongers.

What you basically saying is that you're a liberal who has been terribly misguided. You think President Bush is a very bad president, i dont. People have different opinions.

Right. I've been terribly misguided because im a democrat, and not a republican. Im terribly misguided because I didnt vote for the same guy you did. We live in a democracy, youre entitled to your opinion, as wrong as that opinion might be. Though, I didnt think having political or social views favoring reform and progress was such a bad thing. If you ask me, it sounds like youre the one who's misguided. Afterall, youre the one who voted for a liar.

And from Veovis point of view you are a Conservative who has been terribly misguided. This whole argument is pointless.

The one thing I do want to add though is just because you Disagree with Bush does not make you a Liberal. There are a lot of other political ideologies out there other than Conservative Republican and Liberal Democrat.

Lol right on Pascal.

I'd like to point out that I personally dont really care about all that stuff. The war in iraq is happening, is a reality, and theres nothing anyone can do to make that different. Its resolute, and absolute.

But im personally not a liberal. Nor am I wholly democratic. Sure, when I registered to vote, they asked me what party I favored and I said democrat, but I just really felt like debating. Thats the only reason I posted here. Thanks for making it interesting thus far though.

We do need to note, this is not on the Flameboard.

Oh, i'm sorry if it appeared that I was flaming anyone. That wasnt my intention at all. I just saw what appeared to be a heated political disagreement, and tossed my two cents in. Whether I like it or not, Bush is president and he won the election. Again, sorry if it appeared like I was flaming Lord Thorr.

Didn't think you where, was just a warning in case someone saw this thread and assumed it was on the Flameboard and opened up on it, like we did in the American Vote 2004 Thread. :P

Whew..thought I was in trouble. lol.
