Alright. So I have enough for a Juggy once more come up for the price they've been going for (9mil). But before I spend all my gil on one, I wanted to see some other WARs' opinions. My other thought was going for the cheaper Woodvile's Axe, and getting a few extra pieces of equipment (zerker's axe, forager's mantle, another flame ring, etc). Now my first choice is going for the Juggernaut. But I'm wondering if I should just go with the Woodvile's for now and wait on the Juggernaut. Please give your thoughts.

dont know alot about war but juggernaut offhand seems pretty damn nice. If you plan on being able to lot a ridill, youll prolly be mainhanding juggernaut so I would say go for it.

I dont know about woodsville having both axes at 288 delay might suck a lil bit but youll prolly pull off bigger WS with Woody. I tihnk I would go Maneater/Juggernaut just for the insane amount of attack from the two and slightly less delay. Off course thief loves attack, and we are all about low delay so maybe im wrong.

No, Maneater/Jug is next best thing to Jug/rid. The latent effect of the maneater combined with the stats of the Jug will make it a very very liable combination in any situation as a war. If you aren't in a linkshell where you can have a chance at a ridill, I'd suggest this combination.

Juggy. Maybe do some controlled parses before and after, borrow a woody, and compare. Quite some time ago on the Alla forums there were comparisons of the 3 axes paired up, and woodeater combo was almost the same as meaternaught.

I've always scratched my head at that so I wouldn't take it as biblical scripture. But definitely go for the juggy experience, even if just for a short time.

Juggernaut is just plain beastly. Go for it. It's teh rox.

If I knew your equipment I would be able to say get juggy.. If you dont have the most basic of gear everywhere else, then don't get juggy. And when I say basic, I mean next to near best in each slot buyable, thats not ra/ex or ya need to put countless hours into an LS. I could not give you my honest opinion unless I knew what you worked with for TP build/ WS build gear.

Juggernaut's overrated as hell.

Pretty much all the end-game axe combos are the same with utterly negligible differences. The differences are very, very minor at best if all other things are held equal.

Go maneater/woods, save the money, don't look back.

yup even though the str and atk boost are nice on the juggy, kisada got a point, better off with mane/woods.

The only time you will notice a huge difference really using Juggernaut is fighting high defense mobs like gods or the Hilltrolls in Mount Z. if your constantly parting in the mire won't make much of a difference. I have personally pushed my atk so frickin high without a juggy that i was parsing per hit almost as high as the sam in my party which is rather fricking sweet. but be warned if your not ready to tank damn near every fight don't do it.

Physical WS Damage Calculation:
WD: Base damage of your WS
D: Base damage of your weapon (e.g., Espadon = 43)
fSTR: difference between your STR and target's VIT
WSC: Secondary attribute like STR_30 (30% of your STR).
fTP: Multiplier (Please see chart below).
PDIF: (your ATK/target’s DEF)

WSC = integer(any secondary attributes) x @

Level @
Lv75... 0.83
Lv74... 0.83
Lv73... 0.84
Lv72... 0.84
Lv67... 0.86 or 0.87 (perhaps 0.87)
Lv60... 0.90 or 0.91 (perhaps 0.90)
Lv40... 0.94
Lv37... 0.94 -- 0.99
Lv31... 0.94 - 0.99

WD = (D + fSTR + WSC) * fTP

Sneak Attack with THF main
WD = (D + fSTR + WSC) * fTP + DEX + AGI

Actual Damage of WS is then calculated in this way.
Damage = WD * PDIF = ((D + fSTR + WSC) * fTP) * PDIF

I would actually guess that using either combo (Wood/Man, Man/Jugg) would be dependant on mobs much like Tonicfly said. I stole the above from Mai's WS Data thread. Since the equation is dependant on differences between your attack and mob's defense, your STR and mob's VIT and base damage, it yields an odd and most likely no overall perfect setup. On higher level mobs (assuming they have higher defense), I would bet Man/Jugg combo would give superior results while on lower level mobs (T-VT with lower defense), the higher base damage and increase STR would yield more to WS damage and better DoT. This would be much easier to show if we had numbers for mob stats, but since it's apparent most of the time from your actual damage, you can make a decent guess as which would be better.

Here's my current EXP equipment. I switch to Genbu's Kabuto if I'm doing Raging Rush, or Walkure's Mask for any other WS. And I sometimes also switch to my Life Belt depending on the evasion of the mobs I'm fighting.

Edit: I was thinking that if I was to go with Woody, I'd also buy a Forager's Mantle for my back, maybe another Flame Ring (I plan to get a Raja's at some point ie: Never), and a Berserker's axe for GAxe.

With your current gear i would have to suggest not getting the juggy and upgrading the lower grade pieces you have. You would get more for you money by getting foragers/C.chain/woody/flame ring. Not sure on current prices of those things, but it would probably be less then the 9M you have for the juggy.

I think I'm going to go with the Woody for now, and just save up for the Juggy again. I also heard a rumor about how they're dropping in ISNM's. Not sure how true it is though.

You know using Genbu's Kabuto does nothing for Raging Rush. Use Genbu's Kabuto when you get Steel Cyclone for more damage because it allows your to bypass more of the mobs defense. Raging Rush you want as much str acc and atk you can muster for max damage. also from looking at your gear you definitely need to hold off on juggy till you have upgraded your gear. most noticeable is either amemet+1 or foragers, chiv chain, and another good option is buying an air tank or two and trying to get rutter sabatons for WS

I thought +VIT was in most of war's ws mods? I dont know much about war because well i'm not one. Just heard that somewhere.

Haha I totally named the wrong WS. I meant to say Steel Cyclone.

Anyways, I upgraded some of my gear. I'm also thinking of doing something about the earrings. Anyone have suggestions? I don't have Sea access, so a Brutal Earring is out of the question for now.

Diabolos' earring is a pretty good choice. Triumph/minuet/cassie earring would probably be not that bad either.

why do you have woodvilles as a sub axe should be going wood main man sub. also a really good WS earring to have is Fowling earring due to the str + acc on it without needing a brd

maneater is better then woods for main hand, with the hidden effects.
