Warhammer 40,000

[Marajade]

So anyone else play? I'm playing in a local tournament tomorrow, gonna be fielding my ultra-cheeze Templar, which are all freshly painted.

Whole army, all ready to go!

Dreadnaught

Emperors Champion, and his squad

Dreadnaught again, with his Drop Pod

Marshall, with his squad and their transport

Assault marines

[Raesvelg]

I've been playing longer than GW's target audience has been alive.

[Skaw]

Space Marines are for wimps.

Play Imperial Guard.

I wish I could play more, but A) It's way too expensive. B) I no longer am friends with anyone who plays. C) It's way too expensive. I could easily justify the money spent playing at the Games Workshop in Glen Burnie or Arundel Mills, but the lack of knowing people who plays means I'm not willing to burn the gas to go to either of those places to play with random strangers every time I get the bug to play.

[Raesvelg]

There are message boards to help you offset the lack of knowing anyone. Also to maybe find a place to play closer to where you live, though I don't know where you live, so it's kinda a moot point.

Anyhoo.

Psh on Imperial Guard.

Real men play Orks.

That having been said, I play Eldar. Which makes me a panzee flower-eater in the eyes of the Orks (and therefor the real men). That having been said, I laugh and eat my flowers all the way to victory over their shattered and bloody green corpses.

[Gerry]

I collect the Fantasy models but I am interested in getting 40k sooner or later.

I know of at least one man who would disagree with you.

Yarrick was much cooler when he had the crab claw-style Power Fist

[Marajade]

There's enough people who play that I know to justify it to me, plus the community of the game here is rather large.

That being said, I love my Marines to death. Especially when they have the power to crush any army with ease, WITHOUT having to have army-specific lists. Hooray for Templar.

I had a friend that used to play that a lot and had me play it with him once or twice, but it's been 13+ years. He also got me into a game called "Silent Death". It was the only game of the WH variety that I ever bought models/dice/etc for. I had a lot of fun playing it. Anyone remember that one?

EDIT:

I was feeling a little nastalgic so I went and found it:

[Gohaan]

I used to play Blood angels, Imperial gaurd, Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Tyranids back in the day. I dont play that much anymore... OH can't forget Grey Knights....

P.S. your army doesnt have enough troops

[Svina]

I played it when I was like 13. Used to play Dark Angels, even thought about getting back into it at some point but then I got distracted with something else.

Either way, that's some fantastic paint work.
