FFXI was my first MMO and I got dragged into it by friends. This time around, I'm really interested in Warhammer Online and was wondering if anyone is keeping their eyes on it like me. Theres so much diversity in races and classes along with a great PvP system, and the game is getting closer and closer to release.

So anyone else planning on giving it a try? Would be nice to get an FFXI group to play with.
 
That game keeps getting pushed back doesn't it? lol
 
Unfortunately I try just about all MMO's so this will get a test drive too.
 
anyone know the release date i was unable to find it, im on the beta signup but still on hold. i also wanted to know the system requirements it was gonna have.
 
It just got pushed back again as far as I know.

Release date is Q2 of 2008, anywhere up until September is what they said actually. There are no official requirements, but if you post your specs I can give you an idea of what you will need to upgrade if anything at all.

What race/class are you guys leaning on?
 
I have four interesting me at the moment

Chaos Marauder

High Elf Shadow Warrior

Dark Elf Black Guard

High Elf Blademaster
 
Kinda ironic an online warhammer game when half the fun of this and 40K for me was assembling and painting the figures, it was a hobby you could have fun gaming with also. A true labour of love after many long hours of painting. :)
 
I plan on trying it out provided I can find the time for it. Anyone know if/when there will be an open beta?
 
You have plenty of time to figure out a class and make time for this game, because it's not getting released anytime soon.

I'm not sure if the beta will ever be open per say, I think they'll keep it random invitations up until the release. We have about 6-8 months before the game hits the stores, so a long wait.

If they don't push it back again. I just hope the game is not on the new vista only graphics engine.
 
I've already applied for the beta. No idea as to what Faction/Race/Class I'll be but hopefully they have some kind of Archer/Gunsmith type of class.

-Dwarf Engineer (Uses rifles)
-Human witch hunter (Regular-ish guns)
-Goblin Squig Herder

I know the High Elves also have the typical archer class but I forget the name.

You have a lot of options though if you like ranged.

Shadow Warrior is the High Elves ranged class.
 
Dark Elves here all the way. I wonder how many people will be called "XxDarkbladexX" or something like that. lol

Where do you sign up for the beta btw?
