for God/HNM: GAxe and /thf
for XP/Solo: Axes and /nin
in some case sword > axe eg. if u r lucky enough to have an ridill

Each skill level adds 1 attack and 1 accuracy to your base atk & acc. Thus, at 75, your atk rating and accuracy with a GA equipped will be 19 more than with a GS.

It's wise (and impossible) to keep them all skilled up as you level, but Great Axe & Axe should be capped at all times. Sword a close third, since there's a lot of sweet stat mods on 1h swords (and it becomes one of your only weapons against gods / HNM's).

SATA + the G axe ws that rocks, did like 1600 on kirin, just need to invest in opo necklace and sleeping pots sinewy and herculean etudes helped a bit too

Yeah there's that too, Steel Cyclone... from what I've seen thus far though, war's usually arent in a melee SC on Kirin. SC has STR_50% and VIT_50% mods so yes the big VIT boost songs bump dmg up noticably (or so I hear, still 15k + killing an elder + 300WS points away from getting it myself).

you don't see steel cyclone becauce it makes darkness.
kirin is weak to Winds and that is light.
Gaxe is still awesome none the less.
