Way back when FFXI started for PS2....My husband had been playing for a month then I decided I wanted to start. So I made Autumndaze on his account. We had 1 account because we played on dial-up. Not knowing that in the future we would get broadband and wireless router and we would both be able to play at same time.. Ok well...what I want to know is.. Can I move Autumndaze? Which is not main character on account, To my new account? Has anyone done this? I was told by a ingame friend that he had some friends who has. It's such a big pain in the ass starting over. And I really wanna play with my Husband as Autumndaze.
 
no. you cant log in other charcs on the same account while one is logged it.
 
Kicamo, I don't think that was exactly her question. She has a second account to which she would like to transfer a 2nd character from the original account. And to answer the question, no, SE does not or at least did not in the past move characters from one account to another. However, you can always ask a GM (I have not done so myself) to confirm that and it is possible SE might do something in the future considering they do have plans for server migration in the future.
 
I know that.... I wanna move character for good... To my new account I started. My friend told me he knows of people tranferring characters to new accounts. A permanent move for Autumndaze. Instead of Autumndaze being on Bucnakeds account. I wanna move her to Autumnlee (My account).

I've never heard of any "confirmed" cases where SE has moved a character onto a new account, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't possible. I don't believe there's a likely chance you'll be able to do so but best thing to do is contact SE directly and find out.
 
i kinda worded that wierd. lol i was also gonna add that they cant switch charcs from accounts. im still abit sick and drowsy from havin the flu this weekend. my bad.
 
A GM or even an SGM isn't going to have the ability to do something like this. This is outside the scope of their domain. They will just tell you to seek help elsewhere, so you might as well skip that step and try customer service. I highly doubt they will fulfill your request though, sorry. :/ At least if you start over you'll have all of your gil and equipment on your old character so it's not a total restart. Plus you'll have your husband to pl you :)
 
I'd be wary about asking. You're breaking the ToS having multiple people play on one account. Might bite you and your husband in the butt if you get an asshole CSR/GM.
 
To keep the request in line with the ToS, just change the way you word the question. I would hinge the question on the fact that you want to give them more money. Who knows...
 
Me and my wife tried this when we got our second system, we were told that they could not migrate a character from an existing account to a different account.

We didn't talk to a GM though we talked to the CSR on the online webchat crap Playonline has setup.
 
WoW does so many nice convinient things for its players, its a pity SE doesnt.

ive tried to migrate a character of mine in the past; never worked out for me.

A friend of mine did do this, but his good friend works for SE and I guess pulled some strings; apparently some strings he wouldnt pull for me, because I asked him and he said no.

just remake, unless you have substantial CoP progress or completion, or multiple 75s remaking really isnt that hard.
