My turn to rant about the rude.....
Place: Yhoarter Jungle
Prick: Smn named Galvan
Why: Well it goes a little something like this....
Ok so my whitemage subjob is pretty underleveled, I am fully aware of this [at the time 66blm/28whm]. I decide to go and level it a bit in yhoartr despite how much i naturally hate that place. WHM in yhoartr = instant invite. So i get into a party.... had a summoner in it.... Galvan.
He starts spamming out summons like how most smn get their skill up... NP. When he pulls out Ramuh i start asking him about it. I mention that Ramuh has a nice staff and that i wished i could have one. He told me its the weapon drop off of Ramuh prime. I said i will go get it sometime soon. He was quite persistent in saying that i WILL die and how i needed a team of 65+ for it. I don't think he believed i was a level 66blm although he never said so, just kept saying i WILL die. I laughed that one off.
The party then moves to the overpopulated camp to the right side of the zone. We fight 1 mandy before a gob comes back from a previous train brought on by one of the other parties. The blm of my group (also in Galvans LS) gets aggro, the paladin pulls the aggro and runs off. He ran INTO the jungle planning to reach the other zone and rid us all of that gob. He was far from surviving that. PLD was a good guy, thinks like a newbie but has a kind heart. On the way back from raising him, i notice the camp in the cave where the 2 white lizards are was empty. I tell the party to join me and the pld at that camp. On the way to that camp Galvan gets aggro like an idiot by running past a gob.
Pld pulls the aggro again and tries to zone, except he didnt know how to get back. Once again this is not a rant on the PLD..... he was kind and an overall goodguy.... just a little clueless. So that gob ends up killing me, the PLD, and one more.. Galvan gets away without even having to zone. He then starts going on how i'm an idiot and that camp is ridden with gob spawns despite my saying that no gobs spawn IN the camp AND there's not a train going by every 2 mins. After going at it for a while he disbands and takes one other member with him. So 4 of us in the party, finding 2 more was hell in itself. We eventually disbanded.
I get an invite to another party, this time at a camp to the left side of the zone. We kill a mandy, someone gets aggro off a gob and zones. At this point galvan is standing at the junction using the /shout function.
Galvan: HEY EVERYBODY THERE ARE 3 GOBS AT THE ZONE LETS BIND ALL OUR FORCES TOGETHER AND KILL THEM. WE CAN DO IT WE CAN DO IT *blah blah blah*
And of course that place is newbie land and they know nothing better than to listen to him. So roughly 25 people rush to the zone to help out. Most of my party had either disbanded or gone to help that fight. I stayed at the camp well aware of what was going to happen.
Later i cast inviso on myself to check out the end result of the battle. I see 3 goblins walking in the opposite direction, and maybe 9 - 12 dead bodies. Now just to set the record straight i use the /say function...
Drewtaru: Why are you all dead??? Who told you people to attack that???
And as suspected i got a few tells saying Galvan.
I go into the next zone and find the other 15 or so people resting. Among them is Galvan. So i start giving it to him in /say mode.
Drewtaru: Why did you tell them to go do that, you didn't know there was going to be deaths???
Galvan: STFU... i knew there were going to be deaths
Drewtaru: So you take it upon yourself to lead these people to death???
Galvan: STFU $%#@ Don't blame this on me (and yet more %$@!)
Drewtaru: I want to know what all the people in the other zone would say if they heard you now.
Drewtaru: Just earlier you got 3 of us killed
Galvan: You're a %$#@ idiot... STFU
After raising a bunch of people i decided to leave. It was a combination of Galvan and the fact that i had spent over 4 hours in yhoarter jungle and within that 4 hours killed a total of THREE mobs (and died once to add that one little cherry on top).
The was some fun after i went back to Kazham and got my Blackmage out. The blackmage who was in his LS nad had died earlier was by the Yuhtunga jungle-Kazam zone. He saw me save a few folks from Gob trains and nuke the hell outta things and was totally amazed. He was an okay guy that BLM.... just in the wrong LS. He admitted to not believing I was a 66blm. I'm sure Galvan heard about my doings thereafter.
Maybe one day i will actually remember to say "Why don't you look at my rank???". That could have saved me quite a few problems. Rank 6 is a bit low now though.... must get it higher^^
So if ever you see me with a low level subjob, well the reason is there. I HATE THE JUNGLE!!!!!
