Well, Roofie. I've seen you before in Valkurm Dunes. And needless to say, you're not the kindest person I've seen. I was standing guard over my Mithran friend, Shenhua and her party. Power leveling them. But then of course, you started acting retarded. Talking about how how would SELL people a Magicked Skull for the Subjob quest for what... 5000 Gil? Hah! I simply shouted that it wasn't possible to sell the skull, due to it being an Exclusive item. And you decided to shout back at me, telling me to "STFU" and other newbish terminology. Of course, I figured you were probably just in need of a diaper change. But then you started yelling at my friend, calling her a "Bitch" and other stupid things like that. Now if I understand correctly, you weren't doing your job right to begin with. Recently, I was teleporting people around in Bastok, and I was shouting if anyone needed a teleport, I'd kindly help them. Then someone named "Namelessvirus" decides to tell me to "STFU BITCH". (Him, being the only person to say that to me). I typed "/c Namelessvirus", Sure enough his LS is "Roofies". So I guess that's another person to be "Added to the list", huh?

Nice quote line. Says alot about your mentality. Yet, after reading some of your posts/fellow posters meetings with you, and taking some of your friends into account, I find i'm none to suprised youd find that sort of thing "funny".

OT, but hey Devifoxx, I hardly ever see you on! I was a member of 2 of Devifoxx's LS during my earlier days. He's a great LS leader, and a nice player, helped 8 of us when he was warping between crags and made our Samurai job quest easier with those teleports, its great to see you on the message boards! :D

Well, I resized my signature pic. It was exceeding the limit by seven pixels.

I'm still on. The reason why I was gone most of april is because my PC was acting up. When I came back, the majority of my users were gone. I'm re-recruiting though. I'm probably going to have "LS Events". I help my LS users get their subjob by helping them get the skull from Gusgen Mines. And I help them get to Rank 5 (My prerequisite is that they be atleast Lv. 25 on a minimum.)

As of late, other than teleporting people around as a WHM/BLM, I'm trying to level up my Samurai so I can go WAR/SAM.

My Stats:

Warrior Lv. 50 / White Mage Lv. 42 / Black Mage Lv. 20 / Summoner Lv. 20 / Samurai Lv. 19 / Dark Knight Lv. 11

I am not as much worried about pixels as long as it doesn't screw up board formatting, it's file size. ;)
I know a few are still on dialup, just trying to make their life easier as I used to be one of them.

Yeah. .TXT

Angelfire has this thing where it doesn't allow off-site image hosting. The trick to get around that is to change the extension to .TXT, then it'll show the image. That's what I did.

The reason why I didn't use my main site is because my PC got wiped recently, and I lost the FTP program I use to log into my site.

I'm going to try to get one, though.

wtf... Mithy is a liar... I never had a pearlsack in Cajuns LS and couldn't of broken his/her pearl.

I don't even remember the reason Mithy got kicked but it wasn't because of me...

And for gods sake, if your gonna impersonate me don't swear so much because thats not me, and I don't appreciate it.
 
Oh and you add to the remarks about being "cocky". Yes Im sure I have come off that way, and I am working on changing that.

In the past people have asked me questions about money, my personal accomplishments and stuff like that, when I answer them... I come off "cocky". I am making an effort not to talk or answer questions like this anymore as it seems to offend and belittle alot of people.. sorry!

I have to chip in. This is the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. And its amazing to me how far a bad reputation can go. I've known tilk since he was a level 1 whm. And he's sucked, since he was a level 1 whm. He was invited to greencherry because one of the owners was one of his old eq friends, and after watching him level up like 20ish levels, it turns out that he's a complete shitmonger. And he's stupid as hell to boot. I grouped with him in qufim when I was but a level 22 whm. I had played the game for about 3 weeks, he'd played for over 2 months. So, we start fighting, and he runs out of mp every battle, because instead of just healing with cure 1 which is obviously 100x more effective than cure 2 at that level, he starts spamming divine seal cure 2's and not healing at all with cure 1. I told him he sucked basically, and he got booted from the linkshell and proceeded to run around town shouting that greencherry can lick his salty balls. Everytime we saw him from then on for about 3 months he'd start spamming the /shout channel with said text.
That's part of the reason he got kicked out, the other part was his obvious attitude problem and total inability to learn to be an effective player. That's just something that greencherry doesn't tolerate. If you're willing to learn you're more than welcome to join us, but if you're going to insist that we suck then you're not.

Then about 4 months ago, he tried to apologize to our linkshell leader. Here are some quotes from that.
"I realize how important it is to have friends in this game."
"I've changed a lot since then"
"You can't do anything alone in this game"
But, I've heard from lots of people that you still suck tilk. This is what I said to him.
"OMG DON'T TELL ME THAT I SUCK WHAT JOBS DO YOU HAVE OVER 50?!"
Tilk I don't care, what level your job is, that is obviously not a factor in how good you are.

Yea, that was the gist of that conversation, so anyway, I avoid tilk like the plague, and I recommend that you should do so as well. Any time you might get an "apology" from tilk, just prod a little, and you'll get him back to his infantile all caps obnoxious self.

LOL @ conversation. Sounds like it's in the same vein as everything else I have heard of this guy. When will people realize that gil and levels do not necessarily equal skill and competency?
 
Naffenu hehe tell him I said Hi next time you see him 8) bah.. nevermind I dont want to expose you to more filth. :lol: :lol: Every post / story about Tilk just makes me laugh about how sorry this kid is.
 
Makes me wonder whether it is possible that even Roofie will kick Tilk out at some point, stanger things have happened...

Hi. Ill start with an introduction;

I'm Keits. Im Naffenu's husband, and the owner of the GreenCherry linkshell. My main job is a lv60 SAM, subbed WAR THF or RNG (depending on the situation).

Just wanted to chime in and reafirm what most of you already know; Quetzalcoatl is home to many many sad people. My list is too long to relay at this time, but I feel I must chime in about Tilk.

What can I say about Tilk that hasnt already been said? Hmmm...

When I first met Tilk, it was because one of the part-owners of my linkshell knows Tilk IRL (fellow named Erubus, who has now retired FFXI and gone back to.. *gasp*... EQ1). Tilk was a tarutaru WHM, and at that point in my LS's life, we were happy to have another WHM... This 'happiness' lasted all of about two weeks.

Tilk had this habbit of asking for advice or tips, and then ignoring them or refuting them after they were given.

"Tilk, try casting regen on the puller before he goes off to pull. It saves time and mana"
"Ok."
....Tilk doesnt even try it....
"Did you try the regen thing?"
"Um cure2 is faster you moron Im a WHM you arnt I think I know what im doing."

These types of quips were typical of Tilk. Eventually, I got so sick of the way he was treating people (in and out of the shell) that I booted him. I told him politely why he was booted and that he could rejoin in a few weeks if he cleared up his act.

You know the rest of this story, either from meeting Tilk or reading Naffenu's post.

Obviously, the kicking of a real life friend of one of the owners was to be an issue... or so I thought. As it turns out, Erubus tells me that he half expected this all to happen. Apparently, Tilk had about 100x more enemies than friends in EQ, also. He just has, and I quote, "A knack for pissing people off."

While this is probably the understatement of the fucking millenia... We both accepted it and moved on.

Sinse then (its been nearly 10 months or longer now), there is something going on that I call the "Tilk Phenomenon".

"Keits! What is this 'Tilk Phenomenon?'"

Well I'm glad you asked.

Step 1.) Start a conversation about the worst players on the server with your current (and competant) party.

Step 2.) Save your list of names for last... aka do not mention Tilk.

Step 3.) Laugh your ass off as Tilk, Roofie, and all the names on this forum pop out of these stranger's mouths.

This is the 'Tilk Phenomenon'. How could one person be so upseting that a everyone knows his name? This isnt Cheers. Its not a bar where all 10 people know eachother. Its a Server with 2000 or more people connected to it *at the same time*.

This is probably more funny to me than anyone. Tilk spent weeks badmouthing me and my linkshell, and I did nothing to stain his reputation. The only people I joke about tilk with (till now) are the people in my Linkshell. But somehow, everyone knows Tilk! He is like, famous!

I dont know whats hidden behind Tilk's monitor... but I do know that a person of his nature doesnt belong in social situations of any kind. He lacks the composure, control, and communication skills (the three C's of being Social) to get along with anyone but 'his own kind'.

I play MMORPGs for two reasons: One is that its a time sink, and I have a lot of free time. Two is that its social, so even when its boring I have my friends to chat with all day.

Tilk, and his kind, play MMORPGs for a different reason: There is a form of social power found in the real world that is based on Money, Rank, etc. In real life, its almost always true that if you have more money than I do that you have more power than me. People like Tilk believe that this holds true in the virtual realm as well...

By holding his high level (social stature) and millions of gil (riches) over your head, he can always, 100% of the time, convince himself that he is superior to you. Tilk obviously lacks whatever it is that it takes to perform this same task in real life. He compensates by bringing it to the game.

I dont usually badmouth him publically for one reason; I pity him.

Most of the issues he has can probably be drawn back to the above. Why badmouth him now? Well, to be honest, I dont think I have. If relaying facts or events qualifies as slander, then I have the wrong definition of the word on hand.

You all have judged for yourselves, and I certainly didnt need to influence that. Tilk built his castle, and now he has to live it in, or jump off.

Sad.

Dear Tilk,

This isnt 'Final Fantasy: NASCAR Edition'. Its not a race. Square-Enix officially appologizes if the box art was misleading. You will not 'win' if you reach lv75 sooner than your peers. If this doesnt ring home with you, I'm not surprised.

Hmmm. Having said that Keits. I think we should pity Tilk. I think we are just misunderstanding him. He probably can't communicate with people in real life and is really trying to communicate online. Maybe this is all he can really do. Maybe he wasn't hugged enough by his folks, or dropped on the head as a child. He might also be one of those unfortunate few that didn't get the warning about eating paint chips. Which would explain a lot of things. I know Jazper in real life, and if you want to compare gil and lvls, Tilk in real life doesn't even have a content ID to play the game of life. So yeah, let's pity him. Note the sarcasm.
