Darkmagnus, Midgetdude and myself are skilling up in Wajaom, at G-11, right in the tunnel.

The puk is spamming TP moves like a shit fuck, no joke. Every one we pull just shits em out like its using hundred fists with TP moves.

Clearly didnt get hit/hit us enough to gain its TP

What's a shit fuck?

Just curious, what were you guys skilling up? It's possible if it to TP that fast if you were all working on, say, Great Sword/Scythe...

Fairly good chance they have some form of TP Regen (though I'd hafto say I'm surprised if so, as they don't have it as pets...). only common XP mob I knew of with TP Regen was Imps. Hmm...

I had great axe, Dark had dagger, Midget had sword.

But you can clearly see that we got like, 2-5 hits in between its TP moves, which definitely isnt enough to give it full TP, and at times, it wouldnt even hit us between its TP moves.

Odd glitch, and as soon as I installed Fraps to record a fight or two, they stopped spamming the TP moves.

Dark made a post also: http://www.qcdn.org/ffxi/showthread.php?t=44667

His SS is without damage spam, check it out

I've solo'ed quite a few sea puks as nin, they don't use TP moves faster than any other mobs.

It's not a glitch, actually. From personal experience, puks go ballistic pretty much during wind weather. Check it out next time you fight them. You'll notice that they tend to spam that knockback crap they do a lot more often during wind weather than not. Don't know if they get some kind of TP bonus during wind weather or what but, I've personally experienced it both mage side and melee side and seen the difference more than once. It doesn't happen often but when it does, it is a marked difference from non-wind weather.

It is a glitch, actually. Someone fought Xolotol, and he got stuck in TP spamming move too. As a matter of fact, he spammed ONLY the charmga move. So everyoen got charmed, and soon as someone uncharmed, he'd use it again, making it impossible for them to even damage him.

From Wiki, so ya'll know I'm not bonkers:

TP Regen: On Lightsday, Windsday, and during Light or Wind Weather, Puks have the ability to regenerate TP, much like the Eruca of Mount Zhayolm.

Element TP Bonus: If the element corresponding to the elemental day of the in-game Vana'diel week is used on a puk, it will get 100% TP instantly. (i.e. Using Fire II on Firesday.)

this clears it up, thanks a lot!

But, we didnt use spells when it was spamming... Unless the Ice Spikes activated it, and it was Ice Day, but idk if it was

Ive fought puks (at that same spot lvled on them for 1-3 lvls during all weather conditions) before on windsday and this never happened. Also happened when windsday wasn't up during the skillup. It was only 1-3 puk pops that did this. They would use a tp move either on pull or as soon as you engage.

Not to say GMs know everything, but he/she didn't seem to think it was normal.
