Is anyone aware of a site or anyone who has done any testing to see if in FFXI different weapon types do better levels of damage on certain monster types?

I think blunt (like clubs and h2h) are good on bones.

That's for SURE. I try to smoke a blunt everyday for my aching bones.

Manual labor, whats that?

Ok so maybe the bones don't quite hurt but yeah the blunt does the trick.

So to sum it up, yeah what Devi said.

Mo...

MWUAHAHA, good call.

same element (magic speaking for BLM and anyother magic users) does less and the farther you sprad apart your spells they can do maybe more than the last. Also you do less agaisnt magic casters (bst men and things like that) when you cast and more to whepon users.

Not sure if its all true but yeah just what ive seen.

Speed you cast doesn't have any affect on dmg.

Here is a little collection of dmg data for you:
WS Formula and dmg multipliers
Blm Dmg Formulaes (be sure to read through all of it)
Melee dmg formulaes
More cut and dry version of melee dmg.
Nice discussion by the numbers comparing thf subs: /war /nin and /rng. Made me a big fan of thf's subbing rng and war.

Some various hidden game numbers:
/RNG10 : +10 Accuracy/Ranged Accuracy
/RNG30 : +12 (Total 22) Accuracy/Ranged Accuracy
/RNG50 : +13 (Total 35) Accuracy/Ranged Accuracy
Focus (MNK25): +20 Accuracy
Aggressor (WAR45): +25 Accuracy
Sword Madrigal (BRD11): +15 Accuracy (Can be up to +19 with Traversiere +1)
Great Sword Madrigal (BRD51): +25 Accuracy (Can be up to +29 with Traversiere +1)

Thanks for those websites. None seem to have done any testing to see if Weapon type /vs. Mob Type have any effect.

I have no data to support this, but I'm pretty sure crabs are strong against Hand to Hand, as I HIT THOSE FUJIKISTANIAN CLIPPERS FOR 0 A HUNDRED FREAKING TIMES!

crabs are resitant to blunt weapons (H2H) ^^;

flying mobs are weak to piercing (Arrows, Spears)

what I call 'soft' mobs- beastmen and things like crawlers, etc are not really resistant to much from what I've seen =/
