Weird problem loggin on in San D'Oria

Hey all. Something funky going on right now. I have a mule in Port San D'Oria that I've tried about 6 times to log on to and I can't. I log on to R0 immediately and then get booted with the message that there's no response from the server. But I can log on to my other characters with no problem (they are in other parts of Vana'diel). Is there some kind of emergency maintenance going on in port sandy or something? Or anyone have a clue what the issue might be?
 
Ah ok and I now see Eulore has a similar topic out there. So it's not just San D'Oria then. Weird. I'd try a GM call to let them know but I don't know that they can/will do anything if it isn't the character that's affected.
 
Damn, I have Dynamis-Sando in 45min...Hope this clears up.
 
Yeah, good luck with that. Since people had so many issues when they talked to GMs, I tried Playonline Service and Support Chat and this is what I was told:

What is this crap? You're not JP player base so tough shit? Not really pleased atm. Will update when/if I find out anything more.
 
Only was happening in S.Sandy, for myself at least. Zoned into S.Sandy and started DCing right away. Had to log in 3 more times and run to N.Sandy zone before Send hit 0, N.Sandy was fine =\
 
I'm stuck in Port Sando and I can't get past the reception building lol
 
I can't even log on. when full-size blue login screen comes up the little bar thing that fills up from left to right stops at about 80% and in a few, I get a "Error code: FFXI-3113 Protocol time out error" message. It's happened the last five times I've tried to log in.

To clarify, I can't long in to any character at all. I don't even get to the menu that includes create/delete character buttons.

I can log in just fine but I can not get into southern sandoria if i enter it R0 the odd thing is i can make it some distance before it closes and if i relog i log in R0 where I left off and i have to make it out of the zone before I can log in normally so far this is the only zone i have trouble with figures I have dynamis tonight and I can't get in.
 
I can logon my mule Ganbino who's in Southern Sando without any problems. Scwall on the other hand...still stuck in Port.
 
Can't log into Zerayla (The Sancturary of Zhi'tah) and two of my other mules who are in Windurst Woods.

I'm really getting peeved, I wasn't able to play at all on Thursday because the update took forever to download and had frequent disconnections making me have to start over again, and now I have a feeling I can't play unless someone magically posts a solution -_-
 
I was able to log into two of my characters but my Bastok mule showed 0 on R and when I tried to go outside the mog house it just sat there untill it made me log out with that "no response" message. :(

Methinks they arent quite finished fixing things after this latest update.:nono:
 
Update stay out of Valkrum Dunes for now, I managed to get out and my signal strength returned to normal on the Highlands as soon as I re-entered the dunes after awhile my R went back to 0 once again. Something screwy is going on there.
