Now let's say you're RDM/SCH, is there a lower limit to how fast you can cast? I know RECAST timers can't get below 50%, but is it possible with a full Fast Cast build to get down to a 20-25% cast time or even lower?

Also, SCH still seems like a good sub. Can cast Raise III with half MP cost, thus saving you a lot 125 MP. You also get a constant Fast Cast trait (only casting speed, though) and Conserve MP trait, as White/Black arts give a MP reduction and cast time reduction for all spells of that type. How large is unknown, however. You also get a boost to your skills.

Would be interesting to know if a RDM can get above A+ enfeebling as RDM/SCH...

i forgot about that definitely something to point out...

but it could actually stack and be parrallel to the haste and dual wield concept

dual wield does stack with haste but doesnt count twoard the 50% haste cap

that is probrably not right but there is some sort of passive trait that is counted separate from the haste cap and stacks with it as a result.

Unless you're carby pulling I'd say that smn sub is bad for whms anytime you asked me. But that's beyond the scope of this topic and there's an end-game discussion topic about it somewhere so let's not go there, lol.

It's only for one spell every 4 minutes so who cares? Edit: Plus you have to factor in how long it takes to use the strategem thing in the first place.

Its definently not a "OH SHIT! PLD IS ALMOST DEAD, HALF CAST TIME > CURE V GO!" as simply casting Cure V would save you more time then activating the Strategem first <.< lol

Right, that's what I'm saying. My Cure Vs already cast faster than most rdm's Cure IVs with full cure casting time merits and cure clogs. I don't see how this is really going to benefit me in any way unless the White Arts ability itself is just really good. Otherwise, whm/blm still for me. The only time I'd use Strategems is when my mp was low and I needed to cast something, the half cast time thing is pointless.

it MIGHT be useful to get off a fast Stoneskin, but yeah, I can barely think of any situations the White Magic one would be useful in...

I was thinking that for things like Stoneskin, which last ~5 mins or thereabouts, versus low con mobs, that kind of thing. I'm sure once all is said and done, they aren't going to provide us with anything truly earth shattering. I was just playing "What if" with the concept. Besides, /SCH for RDM would put us in the back line, which is something RDMs should never ever do, from now on. :biggrin:
