Haha I finally beat the main storyline today after having it for three years playing on and off and losing the copy for a while. Haha I felt good about that I owned the final bosses.
 
ha i finished that in like 2 weeks with 6 level 30-40 characters and 300-ish missions done =P
 
Grats on the win. It's a good game. I'm hooked on all those Tactics-style games. Knights of Lodis was good, too. I haven't tried Onimusha Tactics, but I thought about it.

Templar/White Monk is one of the best offensive combos in the game. I had a Bangaa that was that combo and nothing else, and he absolutely wrecked everything. Haste, Chakra, MP-Damage attack, Silence, 2 distance elemental attacks, and a bunch of other things paired with polearms two-square attack = Mobile Oppression Fortress. Not as strong as Dragoon/Gladiator(Another Bangaa I had was this one,) but the ability to cure and haste himself far outweighs the slight damage drop.

Loved that combo so much, Bangaa Templar is my POL Handle Image.

It's a shame the best defensive ability Vierra get is Reflex. Strikeback is so much better, even if you are vulnerable to ranged attacks. Enemy archers/gunners/snipers are so weak anyway.
 
Onimusha Tactis doesn't take long what so ever. highest level is 40-ish and people best weapons are piss easy to get. me and my brother finished Onimusha Tactis in a few weeks aswell. we're a tad OTT when it comes to thrashign games with full completion...

dsamn FFXI and it's making me take forever to get somewhere...
 
I used Marche as Ninja, gave him Dual Wield and two of the best swords in the game, Strikeback and a pair of running shoes. He owned everything.
 
It's incredibly easy to make humans in to steamrollers in FFT:A, theres no challenge in that :P

Order of brokenability. Human > Vierra > Bangaa/Moogle(Not as many combos for Moogle though, Juggler and Mog Knight onry) > Nu Mou.

I think humans and vierra are equally broken. Is strikeback really that good? I prefer counter because it seems like strikeback only affects melee attack while counter affects everything oO. Vierra are just plain broken because of their speed and all you have to do is mass movement distance on them, make them assasins and 1 shot everyone with Ultima sword(?) and Last Breath. SOOOO GOOD :|

Edit: they need to make a final fantasy tactics advanced II already damn it

Strikeback and Counter are the same, essentially. Just that with Counter, the enemy gets a chance to hit you first(or miss.)

And Humans are a lot more broken than Vierra with Dual Wield. Being able to kill anything without expending MP > Being able to kill anything while using MP.
 
I had my 2nd human as Ninja my Vierra was SMN/WHM or WHM/SMN (Go Kirin) Marche was either Paladin/Soldier or Paladin/Fighter (pretty beastly). Didn't use Nu Mu those were terribly gimped. I should have used a 2nd Vierra for Assasin instead of an archer/hunter. I used Dragoon on Bangaa but couldn't get much done with it. Really weak... alone. Im intrigued by the Templar/Monk combo now I might have to try it.

As for levels all my guys were mid-20s but most of them could Combo lol.
 
Ya the rules were gay as hell when I re-started the game with clear data the first encounter I had ended with most of my people in jail with 3 battle pardon wait.
 
I remember playing this game once and getting a set of judge rules that made it impossible to win. I used to have a screencap but I lost it when I had to reformat...but I couldn't damage the enemy or I got a red card, and I couldn't cast magic or I got a red card. So how was I supposed to win? Couldn't! RUN AWAY.
 
How do you get Almighty? I can't figure that one out lol.
