A Chinese MMO, King of the World, an MMO written exclusively about me it seems, has banned men from playing female characters.

Anyone wanting to play a female character will have to have their gender verified by a webcam.

Sounds to me like someone over at Aurora Technology got fooled into cybering with a saucy priestess, who was equipped with a staff.

Maybe its a big sausage party over there and they want to see some boobs. Or other "indisputable female parts."

doomed to fail.. but funny as hell

im a proud manthra but honestly i chose to be one for two reasons. A. being a mithra i get to watch my tail swing... who else gets a good tail and dont say galka cause their tail is lol at best. B. (the real reason) i wanted to be a thief when i started playing this game so i decided to play with the race that was said to be the best thief. If there was a male mithra i would probably be one but sadly there is not.

Plus now that im a bard its kinda fun to be a whore in a manteel even tho i have never person who flirts for items. (who the hell gives them things neways.)

Hahaha, thats funny XD
I think the number of female characters will be smaaaaall

I'll MMO-crossdress if I Goddamn-well want to. Not that I ever have, of course...

It's really simple:

You spend 98% of your FFXI time staring at the backside of your charater.

Who's really the fruity ones? The guys who play Mithras and stare at Mithra ass all day, or the guys who play guys and stare at an Elvaan longbutt all day?

Although it's good in theory, I think female players will be harassed and hit on more, since there wouldn't be a real guessing game at their gender.

Just get your sister/mom/girlfriend/wife/random girl off the street to pose for the webcam. It's a retarded requirement, but easily worked around.
