What are _you_ afraid of?

Snakes ... ugh I hate em!!!

Guess you don't want me posting a picture of the snake I used to own. Actually with my fear of spiders, I used to have a pet spider. I was fine as long as it remained in its cage, a friend of mine would feed it for me.

Personally, I'm afraid of this damn fish. ><; The first time I saw it it scared the hell out of me. o_o;

Warning: Ugly Fish Picture Below.

SPIDERS should die. The argument that they're necessary to control the insect population which is necessary to control the vast amounts of poop in the world is..well...poop. We don't need spiders to swallow the flies..cuz we don't need flies..and animals should just shit less.

Once, my ex bf thought it would be funny to test my fear. We were sitting on my porch one sunny fall afternoon and a wolf spider was on the wall behind me. In instant tears and with my heart racing I ran out by my car and told him to kill it. He grabbed it between is annoyingly large fingers (they were chubby, it disturbed me) and proceeded to walk towards me with it, taunting me. I froze, started crying hysterically but with no sound, stopped breathing and am told turned an unnatural shade of white given the tan I had goin on at that time of the summer.

He squished it, dropped it on the ground, stomped on it a few hundred times to prove it was dead (he also had very fat feet), started saying things like, "Oh my god, you really ARE scared of spiders..like..SCARED," and ran up to me about the time I started breathing again. I am told that by the time he reached me the panicked look had been replaced by an icy glare. the likes of which could make most men WISH they were the dead spider..at which point HE stopped dead in his tracks, turned white...

Kinda kidding..but I didn't talk to him for 2 hours...

I'm not afraid of the dentist per say, its what he does that scares me, I don't want people pulling pieces of my head out of my mouth. its.....just.....god!

/em goes and brushes his teeth

must....be....clean!

Spiders, and I know the root cause of it.

When I was about 6 years old my cousin decided it would be fun to scare me and tell me all spiders were poisonous (I was visiting his farm and the little bastards were everywhere) Well it wasn't till about 4 years later I found out while all spiders have some sort of poison not all affects humans or there teeth just can't break our skin.

/sigh

It was too late though Damage done, and I now fear anything in general with more then 6 legs.

I don't think I am scared of insects, but I DO hate them...along with rats.

I also hate dolls..not the furry kind, the kind with the glass heads and whatnot give me the creeps - like carnival music and kids laughter (the creepy scary movie kind, not the cute giggly kind)

The dentist - I am and will ALWAYS be scared of.

But I think my BIGGEST fears are things like lonliness and getting too old too fast and not accomplishing the goals that I have always dreamed of.

Doctors, hospitals and being given bad news.

My mother in law died from cancer recently and I myself have recently gotten bad news from the doctors so now my pulse goes through the roof whenever I have to see one.

Boredom (I envision hell as being an eternal existance with nothing to do)

Situations in which I can enact no change. Lack of control. (mom having cancer, bound and tourtured, ect).

Spiders for me, reason unknown. I can force my self around them if I have to, but given a chose I’d rather stand on a chair like a girl screaming for my wife to come kill it.

My friend Kathy has a irrational fear of spiders. I remember seeing her start to drive away and suddenly she dove out of her car, and the car crashed into some trees (she was probably going 10 mph or so). I ran up to her and asked her if she was ok and what was the matter and she blubbered out "There was a spider in the car!"

I am a victim of Automatonophobia. Though it covers a wide range of fears, the only underlying one that I fear is:

Robots.

I am deathly afraid of robots. I cant look at that Honda robot without getting the jitters. I was once watching CNN and they were discussing the presidential race with Asimo, and they asked

"If given the opportunity, who would you vote for, Kerry or Bush?"

He replied, in his usual cold, cryptic tone:

"I am not human. I am a robot. Therefore, I cannot vote."

Yeesh..creepy ass robot...

Urg... spiders!!!!!! I am sooooooo scared, you would'nt believe. I had to wake up my sister once at 2 in the morning to come kill a spider that had just walked from under the keyboard (I was doing.... euh... homewroks! ).

And Jezza, I had a friend who did the same once, but with a tiny little spider, while camping. I am really not a violent person, but, call it reflexes, when he threw that spider at me, I knocked the lights out of him.

Another thing I am scared shit of is seeing dead people or ghosts. I have once been told that I had a really strong third eye (not gonna describe the whole experience, but that lady was amazing at this sort of things) and she was surprised I did not see any vision, or spirits or auras as of yet.

Even before that, I was always scared of waking up to see someone standing next to my bed or looking in my rear view mirror while driving and seeing someone there staring at me.

Those are the 2 things that really scare the crap out of me!

I used to fear robots... that is until I got Arnold as my Governor.

Now I fear no machine! When the rise of the machines happens (it wil happen!)... I will be having a Martini on the beach while the rest of the world is destroyed by mechanical killers. I haven't a worry that Arnold (and maybe Keaunu, he lives down South I think) will have no problem blowing up any robot that comes near California.

HAHA, sucks to be you!

2 things that scare me

1) Clowns, they freak me out more than anything. People dressed up as clowns are sick. The only thing that creeps me out more than a real clown is a clown puppet. Those scare the hell out of me especially if I am asleep and I get woke up by one.

2) Trees outside my window. They will come alive and eat you when your not looking.

If you haven’t noticed by now my irrational fears come from watching poltergeist when I was really little. I watch the movie now and it still scares the hell out of me.

;_;

If I ever own a robot, which will be a reality soon too!, I am totally going to kiss its ass. I want to be friends with it, so when they turn, it'll be like "Nah...Doug is cool. No need to murder him. That Bill down the street however......"

You dig?!
