What did you do for your Valentine?

I got Langly some Lush(store) awesome expensive shaving cream, shower jelly, and some stuff for his NIN/RNG in 60 cap Ballista (Bullseye Cape & VisionEarring).

He bought me red roses and a laptop cooling tray for my monster laptop. *^^*

We then spent the rest of the night playing FFXI, and in result of killing the second Kirin of the night Langly got an Osode. Was a pretty good day. :)
 
I got See's via UPS and ate the raspberry truffle before the roommate could. <3

Eh, people get overworked on this day so we decided to do something Saturday instead. It did not help that I had two papers and a discussion due the next day.
 
My lady lives in the next city about 45 mins from me - Usually go see her on weekends. SO our day is going to be saturday! Got us reservations at some glitzy new restaurant she wanted to go to.

Armed with some of the standard tools ie Purple Roses (her fav) Some candies she loves - shes very alergic to chocolate lol. Then early to bed and ill cook her breakfast the next moring with heart shaped over hard eggs lol (I have a template cookie cutter thingy for it) Then out to the hill for a day of free snowboarding lessons taught by ME!
 
I'm lucky that my girlfriend's birthday is three days before Valentines, so I kinda smush everything together. We went out to see a movie and I was planning on dinner, but my mother called and asked us to come over for a bit. Three hours later we came home after eating dinner over there (>,<);;; and I felt bad, so I made her a cake.
Then we cuddled up and watched movies the rest of the night. XD It was great.
 
Proof that you don't have to have sex to have a great Valentine's Day...but it doesn't hurt lol. Love that idea of yours there Aither. And my gf says there are no good guys out there anymore...sure there are...most of them play FFXI lol.

AHAHAHA! From a girls point of view I don't see this. Maybe it's the guys I talk to in FFXI, or that I need to talk to more people but I don't see that many good guys, FFXI or not.

Ya know, for being an island country and wanting to be different than the rest of the country Hawaii sure does make a big deal out of a corporate holiday. Roses might be $3 a stem but boys still buy them by the dozen. Chocolate might be $15 a box but they'd fly off the shelves. And the price tag for dinner might be $100 but people still go out to eat.

Don't mind me, I have issues lol...
 
well, you know how the old saying goes... "Good guys finnish last". its generally accepted that women are attracted to the bad guys. Otherwise everyone would be dating the geeks, no? :p

I broke up with my girlfriend two weeks ago. I spent my Valentines' Day basking in the sweet sound of silence, since the presence of someone who would bitch for no reason was remedied. Ahhhh... sweet silence...


Oh, and I drank a beer too.

I've been going out with the same girl for 4 years, which have been nothing short of incredible. I will agree that women are attracted to the bad guys...which is unfortunate because I've seen so many girl get their hearts broken by their jackass boyfriends. Most nice guys DO finish last, but I'm an exception to the rule lol.
 
Yeah it's a fact, women like being treated like dirt. It's the guys who retain they're hair-pulling dirt kicking 1st grade tendencies towars girls that get em in the end.
Well, girls from the ages of 16-25ish anyway, depends on the girl, but after 30 or so they know what they want and it starts to click in their head that assholes, are not the way to go. They start goin for the nice guys, that's when us nerds swoop in.

I completely agree with that, but like you said, it depends on the girl. My girlfriend's sister still hasn't figured out that assholes = bad, she still insists on dating them. Find who your happy with and stick with them...why is that so hard for most people?
 
The woman I am currently seeing doesn't like big and flashy, but more sweet and subtle, so I planned this out a few weeks in advance. (We're total opposites in that department, which I guess is a huge case of opposites attract. She's a very on the fly person, and I love to plan ahead for things.. Anyways)

I went to our local florist and asked for two deep crimson roses. They were beautiful. And yes, just two. I then went and got her a card, and a very cute, fluffy tan stuffed bear with a blue ribbon as a necktie.

When I got home I put the roses away in a nice cold place where they'd keep. I then wrote on her card (after cleverly looking down at my desk drawer at work, picking up my keys and asking her if they gave her any... her response "Yeah but I never lock my desk"... ;) ) "Look inside your desk drawer".

At work I got there about 20 minutes earlier than I knew she'd be there. I placed the two roses over her card on her desk, and placed her bear in her drawer with a hand written poem inside his necktie.

She loved it.

Exactly the case with me. Except now my girlfriend has gotten into more planning things and I'm trying to be more spontaneous. Go figure...we change each other lol. I love really thought out plans, I find girls like it more because it shows the guy really wants to make her happy.
