What do I miss...

I've been offline of ffxi for a few months now (long story), and I was thinking on my (bike) ride home from work just what I miss about ffxi. (no, this is not an emo thread). And while I realize this post may not fit in Good Times, to me it didn't feel like it felt it belonged in General Discussion. Move it to your discretion mods.

Anyways, what do I miss eh?

-My hair: simply put, I picked a taru not because I was going to play a mage (hell, I wasn't sure *what* I was going to play at the time), but because I loved the hair.
-My character: I'm a sucker for cute, self-explanatory
-Stabbing things: I like stabbing things, and just walking around stabbing shit at random makes my day sometimes
-Using a weapon longer than I am tall
-Fury: I could go on and on what I miss about that
-Tanking things 3000x bigger than I am
-My pld AF/relic armour: I mean, come on, it's awesome
-My whm armour, esp the hat: Screw the "condom hat" comments, it's great cause it has taru ear vents, which is awesome
-Traveling around the game by hardly running anywhere: Gogo teleports/region warps
-Running around with W. legs: Weeeeeee
-The dunes: It's the dunes, what's *not* to love? (I'm not lying)
-Qufim Island: mmm goooood times there
-Being the lowbie "protector" of the dunes/qufim/kazham: I loved those days
-My skill at finding random dead ppl: I see dead ppl...and raise them!
-Porting random ppl for free: If I'm not busy, and see a desperate shout, I do it for free, cause I can
-Saving otherwise doomed ppl: Who doesn't?
-Beseiged: Sure, it lags like mad, but damnit it's fun
-The music: Sure, I could find it online/decode it, but it's something else to have playing ingame
-Chatting with ls mates
-Helping out random ppl with stuff that I can actually do
-The "awww so cute" comments I get
-My tarutaru dance: hehehe
-My blue sword: mmm pretty, and stabby!
-Hitting XP mobs for 0 dmg
-Missing level 0 mobs (and everything else for that matter) with capped sword skills
-Complaining *about* my crappy acc
-My O-hat: sure, only my pld can use it, but I don't care!
-Riding chocobo's: Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
-My compound eye circlet: first piece of gear I bought (for 500gil), *then* quested, d'oh. Oldest piece of gear I own
-Blowing shit up with sub-par /blm skills
-Exploring new (to me) areas
-Dying! : "Will I get horribly owned?" "Prolly" "Awesome, lets go!"
-My old friends: I think only 2 or 3 still play now
-My new friends: Goes under "Fury" category
-Being told I did a good job: I'm not an elite, but I like at least knowing I did it right

-The game itself

All I could think of off the top of my head

The days when i could enjoy doing shit without getting pissed off at other people
Being sub par and not caring
spending a day to lvl a job from 1~whatever

I miss having to to run out of Garlaige Citadel because some idiot got aggrod by two Citadel Bats, a Wight and a Bogey...

I miss thinking a level 13-18 party was acceptable..
I miss doing the Mission 2-3 dragon thinking we could alliance and being not so pleasantly surprised we couldn't.....
I miss having Porum to play beside...

I miss old friends, when I could actually play the game the amount I want to (I want to play everyday -.-; and when post-qufim had a majority of players that had an IQ in triple digits. Oh, I also miss the days when I could spend a few hours teleporting people and make a few hundred thousand gil.

I miss playing the game for fun, aimlessly wandering around with no set agendas or goals. Maybe I wasnt progressing quickly in my first year in this game but at least I had fun exploring this mmorpg.

I miss sitting on the Holla platform with them and thinking it was such a cool thing.
I miss thinking 5 digit gil was a lot of money.

But most of all I miss the bat trains in the citadel.
