Here's my question of the week: If you could fix ONE thing in this game, what would it be? Out of all the problems out there that seem to be plauging everyone and making so many quit, what would you fix and how?

Options I've thought of:
Gilselling/Gilbuying (they go hand in hand)
MPKs
GM arrogance/apathy to NA problems
Lag between NA and JP
Cross-continental servers in general (many people would like NA only)
Drop rate of mobs
Economic Problems
Crafting difficulty/expense
[insert other problem here]

Crafting difficulty

I would make the crafting system a bit easier.

Make certain items obtainable in other ways

items such as:

abjurations (e.body, m.body, m.legs, a.body, etc), Ridill, Defending Ring

i was going to put Kraken Club in that list, but realistically Lord of Onzozo isn't *THAT* hard to claim on our server

Had this Idea for Asheron's call too.

Have this big room with switches, you pull a switch, and random mob appears.

Maybe reg rooms no time limit where random non special mob appears of certin level. No NMs

switch that you can use by trading some item, random NM pops out

a switch with a vary hard item to obtain or craft that pops out random HNM.

Always thought it would be cool to have random mobs pop out and attack ya.

I don't see anything wrong with this game as of now.

Although I would like to see tons more of EXPPT zones added in the near future, that don't require breaking all bones in you're body to obtain. *Cough*LufaiseMedows*Cough*

I thought of a good one last night.

You gather your xp party, talk to an NPC(maybe pay a fee) you get transported to a zone with just your XP party and maybe 7-10 pops all ready to for you to chain your ass off.

Gilselling/Gilbuying (they go hand in hand)

yea, i;d would really like to see that leave. That would most likely fix some of the economic problems, and also when u see someone with an uber item like kraken or strider u can say 'wow, i wonder how long they ahd to camp that nm...or what did they farm to pay for that...' instead of wondering how much money they just paid to get that gil...

i think it costs about 1000-1500 USD to buy enough gil to get a kraken club

which is why EG was such a loser :|

I'd say make a 'Chain Challenge'. You can your party get transported to a bcnm circle and you keep getting mob after mob at a certain rate. The longer your pt goes, the better items you get.

As much as you would think Cannon Pt's would be good for this, thing if the mobs spawn ranged from crab, to cralwers, to mandies, to empty. Heh, that would be interesting.

Or get a ever increasing rate of gil. One gil a tick earned your first minutes, two your second, four after that, eight after that....

here's another

allow the NA POL to support IME commands and text like the japanese version

How about something like The Golden Saucer from FF7?

Where you can put in either seals or something else and you can go solo on some mobs, but the catch is that, like FF7 theres a lottery where you could either lose something like sub job abilities, or gain something like added hp or a certian stat effect like Regen/refresh or a dispel of some sort.

Then you would have to take into consideration different jobs like mage jobs vs melee jobs so that you dont have melees getting things like refresh that dont need it, or mages getting -str.

And the best part would be that all the items you get were rare/ex so you cant sell them. Its supposed to be for your job, so why not play for it. No IGE whores allowed.

Great responses so far. I like the Gold Saucer idea, I'd absolutely love to see some mini-games that are action based to play while LFP or whatnot because this game has way too much sitting around time.

More Storyline
A new Kingdom/thing
a job specializing in explosives
will think of more

I totally agree. More storyline is more fun. Actually, it would be really nifty if they had kinda like a drama club part of the game. Where like...some in game staff dressed up as normal characters and would play out a story in Jeuno or something. I dunno, we did that in another game I played, and while the amount of people who did it was significantly lower, it was still fun!

Yay for roleplaying ^_^;

Here are a few ideas:

- Dance motions that actually have motions.
-Linkshell ships/areas/zone (Although a handful of members would never leave the area)
-Some way to intergrate learning another language while playing. (I would actually like to learn more grammatics with Japanese or anything else. Nothing mandatory of course. It would be voluntary :/ )
- A recreational room where players could earn points/gil/whatever while playing some type of dumb game. (No idea what type of game but one where people are not going to complain that they loose or waste gil/items while playing. Eh, it would add another thing to do while seeking party).

Just really more to do while LFP would be a good addition. So you're not resorted to playing another game while playing this game at times.

Some kind of dueling arena outside of Ballista. Like Rocket Arena from Quake, One on One fights, every one else watches. Winner stays for the next round, loser gets put at the end of the queue.
