looking for a new job in the philly area if anyone can help me out though..

i do some freelance on the side as well.

Job: Usher at the moviedome.

What I do:
stand around and kick drunks, roudies, or ugly people out. Kidding about the ugly people. sometimes i rip the tickets but that's for the new guys to do. i clean theaters or bathrooms. but again the bathrooms are for the news guys to do.... I help seat when it's busy, or just make sure the place is running smoothly... i also need to look sexy, that's probably the hardest part of the job...

Sales Associate for Illinois Valley Cellular, which is a local cell-phone company.

Basically, I sit on my ass, hand nasty people phones, and surf around on qcdn.org. Sometimes for 7 hours!

Life is good.

I was "in training" to take over a small corporation until I was forced to retire due to illness about 10 years ago. Now I volunteer as a moderator for two somewhat related history websites. One website was featured in Archaeology magazine and the second is for a phd and author of several history related books. Mostly, I read alot of articles and abstracts, write, debate and promote when necessary. Since I volunteer, I don't get paid but I do get some rather nice perks from time to time and have met some really interesting people to boot. :) I'm also working on my own book as well on a bit of Navajo lore.

Basically I work with my dad over the summer as I'm still in school. Work in the city and basically we clean out condemned houses so that workers are able to bring them up to code. This involves houses that leak with weak floorboards, knee high trash, lotsa exotic animals like cockroaches, rats, squirrels, the occasional racoon (wtf?), um lotsa trash and lotsa gross gross stuff like garbage n needles n ugh. IT sucks... Really bad...but i make lotsa lotsa money so its all good

I Work for a Dog Kennel....I clean up dog shit and get to use high powered hose. WHAT SON WHAT...

Heh heh heh, well, at least you guys are active. :) Me, I waste probably a good 30 minutes of my life each day just waiting for pdfs to load....

I am now a stay at home dad.

During the day (to pay the bills) I am an office manager for a small fence company. >< I pay bills, talk to idiots about the benefits of cedar, do all the useless BS that the owner is far too important to bother himself with.

At nights and on weekends, I am a professional actress - which, in DC does not pay well enough to live on...YET. I do mainly theatre (right now I am in a rock musical called DIAMOND DEAD - I play a dominatrix growwwwl) but just recently did my first professional voice-over (yay) and have experience in film in tv as well. I was an extra recently on Nic Cage's new movie NATIONAL TREASURE - they got a few close-ups so look for me ;) I also did The West Wing.

My "public job" is a petrolium transfer expert. (Figure out what that really is and I give you a high five!) But by night and days I feel like taking off, I do what Jender does and do some professional acting! If anyone here is still in high school, and will be next year, I think you'll see me on the cover of the college board magazines if your school gets em! Keep an eye out for me in Dark Waters too :3 Dunno if I'll be seen, but was an extra!

I also work with Jimera and Blahman recording weddings, celebrations, crap like that. And I <3 you Jender!

 I <3 you too, Miros

Now, my day job = Manager and Fitness Instructor at a gym for women. And, am still plugging away at professional theatre on nights and weekends. My new show is a drama called Alexa's Necklace - I play Alexa. ***Just rented NATIONAL TREASURE over the weekend, and slow mo'ed the scenes that I filmed. I have a 3 min ass shot (LOL - it was funny, I wasn't even paying attention - and all of the sudden Josh goes "Jen - is that your ass?!" Sure enough - HAHAHAHAHA ;) Guess he can spot in from anywhere) Anyway it is when the co-star guy gets out of the red van in the middle of the day in DC. I am the girl walking by - hehehe...how is that for stardom?!

Heh, not many people can claim that a lot of people have seen thier ass. /clap /clap :P

I am in quality control for a large Aluminum Extrusion company. In our facility, we take large raw aluminum logs made in Brazil, or Russia, and heat them up to about 900 degrees F. We also have small circular cast iron and steel disks called "dies" that are about 2' in diameter. The die contains a certain shape, whether it be storm shutter commonly found on buildings to protect them from hurricanes, window frames, gutters, thresholds, all sorts of things. These dies containing the shapes reach about 900 degrees F, and then we load them into a large hydrolic press. The press loads a heated log into a super heated container, then pushes the aluminum through the die, thus creating the shape.

It's pretty bring stuff really, and I get burned quite a bit while trying to make sure that the shapes meet the right dimension tolerances for the customer. But, I can't argue with the pay! :D

I demand a signed item from you this moment! (or at your earliest convienance >_>;)

I'm in the US Air Force. My official title is F-16 Avionics Systems Journeyman, soon to be Craftsman. (which blows any chance of me being able to cross-train into another field :( ) In case you're wondering what I'm blabbering about the AF uses skill titles and levels for your job experience. Craftsman is near the top of the skill level ladder, so at that point I'm pretty much locked into my career field.

Anyway I work on all the little electronic gadgets and gizmos that the F-16 relies on to do its job, stay in the air, and not become an expensive lawn dart. XD The theory of the job sounds REALLY cool, but in actuality the job kinds sucks, especially when working the flying shift (normally dayshift). On the flying shift it's busy as hell when the planes go up/come down, but boring as hell in-between (we sit around and don't do all that much) We'll sometimes have some scheduled maintenace that can be done, but the flying takes priority, always.

The other shift(s) is/are more steady in terms of work, but you can get screwed with some pretty jacked-up hours if there's a lot of work from the flying day. On the flip side, if there's barely anything to do and it all gets done quickly, some people HAVE to hang around until the pro super (production superintendent, basically, the boss) cuts you out, or if there's a 3rd shift, until they come in. A 12 hour shift consisting of 8 hours of maintenance work, an hour of paperwork, and 3 hours waiting around is not uncommon in my career field. XD

Honestly though I could be doing much worse jobs, but still, working the kinda shifts I mentioned above over and over can get to me. Oh oh, the worst ones are the ones where you kick arse, get the grunt/paper work done in 4-5 hours, wait around for a few hours, then have the pro super come in and say "We need 6 jets reconfigured"

XD XD XD XD XD XD. I won't go into what's involved in reconfigs but I will say it involves a lot of work. XD

I work for the family business in Westchester, NY. I'm basically the heir to the throne. We deal in plumbing and heating supply wholesale/retail. Its really boring, and you'd think being the owners son would be cool. Its not. -.- If you've ever seen American Choppers, me and my pops are often like Paul Jr/Paul Sr. Idk... its sucks in the way everything is my fault, but also good in the way I can take off of work for important stuff... like Episode III!
