what girls want for xmas?

Jewelry that isn't gaudy, necklaces that look nice and they can show off, rings with simple gems that are "thoughtful" but not cliche, like birthstones, TV series boxsets, movies, video games.

Comic trade paperbacks. Dungeons and dragons rulebooks. A nice watch. A romantic dinner. Marbles. (They double at practice-caltrops.)

Really comfortable shoes. Really comfortable pajamas. Books they love but don't own/can't find. Concert tickets. Tickets to a theme park. FFXI Ultimate Collection. A claim-bot. 10 million gil.

A hand-made coupon book full of "Good for One Foot Massage" and "Good for One Back Rub" type things. A new car stereo. An old car stereo.

A new camera. A handheld gaming device. A drum kit. A satellite radio. Subscriptions to netflix/gamething (the mail ones). A nice hat. Hand-made dolls of her favorite cartoon characters. A single smoke bomb, for emergencies. A hair-spray bottle labeled "Bat-shark repellent spray."

...or like, a nice sweater. Go wild.

It all depends on what she likes. If she's into jewelry, you've been together for 4 years, I don't think getting her a nice necklace or something would be out of line. I'm not suggesting diamonds, something simple in silver and gold is always the best piece because it can be worn with just about anything and it can be relatively inexpensive.

Actually, at the 4 year point, I *might* suggest a diamond. Not a big diamond, mind you, but something like a half-carat on a necklace or a set of earrings. As a singular Christmas gift, it certainly wouldn't be over the top for a relationship as long as the one you've had.

I've seen some specials going on diamond jewelry that are less than what you'd pay for a PSP, so you don't necessarily have to break the bank.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but get a box that WON'T be mistaken for a ring box. Sometimes they'll put single stud earrings is the same size boxes used for engagement rings.

This is the only correct answer to this question:

To be straight, my suggestions are always either doing something hand-made (or something else where your labor is going towards her benefit), or going on a trip somewhere.
IMO, handmade gifts > all. bitches luv it, yo.

If you have been with her for four years, you have probably exerted the use of buying hobby type material. No doubt those things will make her happy, but they will not show her anything in regards to your care. Anyone can go out and buy a piece of jewelry, a teddy bear, flowers, a card, iPod, etc. but to spend time on making something, really nice not a piece of shit shelf (even a really nice shelf is still a shelf...)with a heart and some lace, shows a lot more. Even the act of buying a vacation or something of the likes, like an extremely elegant date, works in this effect, as it is a purchase saying, "I like you enough to WANT to spend time with you."

I'll be taking a lady friend to Gatlinburg, TN for snow (hopefully), funnel cakes, bumper cars, and mountain side view hot tubs. I'll also get her a little something of material value, but not to much, I ain't tryin' to settle down, just show some appreciation.

I thought you had written "Mountain Dew and hot tubs." Lucky gal all the same.

Nah, I wont be doing any backflips or water tricks like a dolphin, haha. Not saying there wont be -any- tricks though, badump chhhhyeahh.

don't be stupid, get what you want yourself and give it to her! it's win win

It all depends on what's she likes, what she's into, etc.
I'm not a materialistic gal; I'm more of a "get me something I need" type. That can be sneakers or something functional/necessity. That's probably why my bf has a hard time figuring out what to get me for my birthday or for christmas lol.

If you want to give her jewelry, you can always give her something simple but nice.
Bracelet or earrings are generally easy to maintain. If she is the jewelry wearing type that is.

All in all though, I would say observe what your gf does. If she's watching TV, pay attention to commercials and see whats catching her attention. If she likes a particular author, buy some books that she doesn't have. Music, same thing.
Or you can always treat her to a place to get her pampered like a spa?

Most of all, it's the thought behind it that counts. Hey even a series of small gifts throughout the day is nice, too. Spending the day with her is probably what she would like the most, so make it special for both you and her.

Get her a big movie-sized screen T.V. so she she can watch her soap operas in style in-between laundry loads.

I might be the only one, but no gift cards! I'm really learning to hate them. I always forget to use them, plus lately it's all anyone asks for for Christmas. 90% of my shopping this year is going to be for the GIFT CARDS my family lovingly asked for. Ugh.

Pandora,Troll,Camilla Bracelet/Beads.. Tiffany's Jewelry... Brighton Jewelry.. Trojan Vibrating Cock Ring...

Engagement ring

Perfume and Coupon book

You will probably get better suggestions if you tell us a little bit about her, like what she is into, her favorite color, etc. Its hard to help pick out a gift for someone you don't know anything about.

Funny thing about those gift cards. Most people don't realize that if they expire the company is supposed to give you the money back on them in most American states. There is a time limit to that though as after a certain point the government then gets the cash.

Send that bitch a smiley face. Bitches love smiley faces.

When I was in school for joinery, my instructor showed our class a slide show of work he's done in the industry. One of the projects he made on his own time was a bed for him and his wife. No idea if you're that inclined or have the proper tools for such a gift but I'm just throwing the idea out there.

I'm reminded of Raes sig that said that Raes and Rey broke the bed.
