what if....RP

Krark gave a nod to Lokkin as he walked out of the bar through the back. Krark took a glance downward and noticed the Mithra, Inuko, laying curled around his feet. He smiled wamrly at her and let her lie there peacefully. Krark had always had a fondness for the Mithra, becasue they always made great warriors and treated the Galka with a certain respect that others somewhat ignored. Thus, he let Inuko sleep and then looked intently at Jender as she told of the funny, the sad, the dangerous, and the heart-wrenching of the journey.

After awhile, he noticed she began to become intoxicated, but did nothing to prevent it. He wasn't annoyed or apalled by her drinking, but felt closer to her because of it. She would drink just like he would, given her terrible trial. After the tales, he wore a large smile on his face and replied to her slurred question.

"What I think, Jender, is that you have grouped a very capable and miraculous group of adventurers." His smile broadened. "You've made me quite glad that I have agreed to include myself in such adventures as the ones you've already had."

He finished the last of his third beer, not yet feeling any kind of effect from the beers being that he was generally....bulky. He simply leaned back, put his hands behind his head, and gave a large breath.

"Well, when do we start to plan our journey? Shall we start writing plans tonight, or after a long night's rest?" He hoped for the latter, so Jender would be of clearer mind, but he was alos eager to plan. Either way, he was more content now than he had been in many years.

Jinnai swallowed down a beer, then stood up.

"I will meet you all at the Port Jueno docks to Kazham in the morning. Have a good nights rest," Jinnai bowed and proceeded to the exit. Mayoke noticed him leaving and ran and jumped onto his shoulder. He left in the darkness of the night.

One thing Mistaya never did was drink. She was tired and her head hurt frm the bright sunlight. Without a word she slipped off into the bustling city of jeuno, in search of an old friend.

"Kupo! Miss Misty~!" came the familiar squeak of a small moogle in the back of the warehouse in the Port. Mistaya smiled warmly.

"How have you been Shalie?" Mistaya asked, patting the small white creature on the pompom.

"Kupo! Very good kupo~ With the trade route between here and Kazham we bring in loads of fruit every day! Rich rich rich kupo~!" Shalie squeaked excitedly.

"Shalie do you still have that...box...i left here?" Mistaya frowned.

"Yesm yesm. Kupo... But you said never to let that box leave even if you asked for it!!!" Shalie looked scared, and rightly so.

"Things have changed. I will need it to help someone else." Shalie led mistaya to the box, dust covered and buried behind the fruit storage.

It was made of black wood, painted with arcane designs. Mistaya lifted the lid, and peered inside.

"Its all still here... Have this sent to Kazham. I will pick it up there later if i need it." Mistaya nodded to the moogle who sighed.

"Alright...kupo..but i wish you would change your mind!"

Mistaya shook her head.
Desparate times called for desparate measures.

When she re-entered the bar, she saw the scene in the bar and immediately growled.

"We have a busy day ahead, down your cups and let us sleep."

Hearing the Sharp Bark of an Order, Inuko jumps up, still stumbling. "Arre we underr Attack ?", she asks, gathering her Axe and other belongings, "How Many, and do they Have Casters ?".
Right when she has all her Things ready, her eyes tear up again, she starts to Sniffle and has a Seat. "Mistaya, you arre herrre too," she sighs, "I guess I'll have to leave now, surrely You don't want a bad Warrrior like me with you.", with this she gets up and starts heading to the Door, the Head of her Axe clanging loudly as it gets dragged behind.
Before turning for the Door she turns around and waves to Jender. "Goodbye, Prrretty One, I will go to Quifm and see wether anyone therre needs a Meatshield." After this short Speech she turns and heads for the Door of the Tavern.

OOC: Muahaha, she'll be wallowing in Self Pity, this is way too much fun. I can't remember ever playing a normal Character

Jender giggles and jumps up to give Mistaya a big sloppy hug. "I love you guys!" she says smiling....wondering where Jinnai went off to.

She turns to Krark and says "Misty is right, need resty :) Shall we start bright and early after a good nights sleep? Someone grab Inuko on your way out and slap her around until she realizes that we need her cute mithra a...." Jender passes out, blissfully for once. :)

Lokkin just laughs, picks Jender up and supports her with his shoulder.

"As much as it will be a pain to her in the morning, I think she had a good time today, it wont be that way again for quite awhile," looking over at Mistaya, "What were you doing? when you left the bar I mean."

OOC: My first time, please forgive if I mess up.

IC:

He took his first step into the town, and stood there, looking all around him, seeing no familiar faces, and everything was new to him. This was his first time out of his hometown, and his first time in a new one, and hasn't a clue where the local inn's, taverns, shops, or auction houses are. He starts walking, then stops to think,

"What am I doing here again?.."

His armor dirty along with his face and hands, his weapon dulled, and his morale low. He had to leave his hometown for personal matters, to start life anew.

He checks into a Moogle Rent-a-home, then goes out into the town to explore, and to make sure where everything is. While he is walking, the commonfolk give him strange looks and glares, as if he didn't belong. He finds the tavern, and notices inside people telling stories, jokes, and laughing. Not wanting to intrude, he takes a seat in the corner, and orders a drink.

"I know nobody here.. everybody treats me like an outsider.. I wish I didn't have to leave home.."

He takes one sip, then passes out.

/Jender awakens to a beam of sunlight shining through her window. Her head a little achy...her stomach VERY hungry...and the stone, a soothing blue color, slightly cooled...which is a nice change, seeing as how it has been burning her skin through the leather harness she made for it. "Today, might actually be an ok day." Jender says to herself, excited to start the journey again - and FINISH it this time, as she walks over to the Action House to pick up a quick snack....

Lokkin, yawning, got up, read the tribune, got dressed, and headed out to the tavern to wait for his other companions.

Jender munches on a yummy slice of apple pie and heads to the Tavern to wash it down with some ice old Selbina Milk. Her stone begins to vibrate a bit around her neck as she enters...she tries to ignore it, grabs a Milk and sits down beside Lokkin.

"Hi there" Jender says, smiling. "Did you have a good rest?"

"Hardly, then again I never have since we discovered who that thing belongs too." Lokkin looked at the stone.

"It always did act funny when I'm around, are you alright?"

"I am doing ok - thank you....the effects have calmed a bit since we got back into town...I am a bit nervous about how I will feel the closer we get to the Cauldron, though. Please don't tell anyone - but I am scared. I have never feared death before, because I did not care much for my own life. But now that I have these wonderful friends...I just..."

Jender looks away, she is not usually one to open up...but has always felt comforted by Lokkin.

"You know what I mean, right? Anyway, I hope everyone gets here soon - so we can get this show on the road"

Smiling to himself, "Don't worry Jender, we wont let you down."

"I'd better have a look for Inuko, I don't know if anyones found her yet, I'll be back in a little while."

Waving, Lokkin headed for the snow covered mountains of Qufim.

Jinnai leaned against the wall at the Airship docks. He watched as adventurers ran to the airship to not miss their ride, laughing and playing around with each other. A group of taru's were giggling on the bridge on how scary galka's can look. Groups of mithra walk by and aw at the opo-opo that sits next to Jinnai.

Jinnai smiled briefly under his hat, that sheilded him from the morning sun and from the looks of others. Mayoke was chewing on some fruit Jinnai had bought for him. Jinnai didn't feel like eating today.

Jinnai sighed, They better not be late... Jinnai thought. He still leaned against the wall, crossing his arm's and lowering his head. Stood there like a statue, waiting.

As the conversations continue in the tavern, Krakr bustles in with a huge smile on his face. He carried his sword, his dagger, a satchel full of foodstuffs and personal items, and also a quiver and a large longbow. He was more proficient with swords, but in his time studying with same Rangers near Windurst, he had become quite talented with archery.

"Bartender, gimme your biggest dhalmel steak and six fried eggs alongside it!"

Krark's voice was louder than the bustle, and drew quite a few glances, especially considering the bulk of his order. Galkas usually ate a lot, and his excitement had caused his appetite to grow. He really didn't care about what they were thinking, anyway. He was too thrilled with the onset of a great journey to bother himself with personal image. He took a seat next to Jender as Lokkin got up to leave. He waved and said goodbye. He then turned to Jender.

"I hope to find you in good spirits this morning. I'm personally raring to get out of this stuffy town and out on our way. Where is Lokkin going, and where is Jinnai?"

Inuko had gone to Quifm and woke up in a Crack in a Wall, huddled in a Blanket. She had not bothered removing her Armor for the Night or Combing her Hair. All in all she gave away a Bad Image at best.

"Well, I'd Betterrr go get some Brrreakfast now" she says as she walks through Frost Covered Caves, heading towards Jeuno.

Sometime later, Inuko sits on some steps, leading to Quifm Island, Mithkabobs and Selbina Milk on Hand, watching the Crowds at the Auction House. People give her a Wide Berth, it might be her less than pleasant looks, or the obvious look of Misery on her Face. "Jenderrr, I rreally didn't mean to, If I could only make it up to you, somehow ... and Mistaya and Jinnai, I miss you all soo ..." she whispers, not even having touched her Breakfast.

OOC (cue entrance someone, current Location Steps to Quifm Island)

OOC: So do we just play around here and have fun? I hope so....

IC:
Devi squints as the morning sun blankets her face. It was a night of heavy drinking and that's about all she could remember which might explian why she was hudled up againt the side of the tavern. She squnints some more and looks for some familer faces and hopefully an account of what happened the night before.

OOC:yup, welcome to the crew devi

IC: "Inuko? INUKO! this is useless... there's too much 'Qufim' to search.. wait is that.... INUKO! OVER HERE!"

Lokkin ran to Inuko, and saw her untidy hair and rough blanket she must have slept in.

"What are you doing? I know you're guilty but you're not going to make it up to Jender wandering around out here," he said as he absently tried to tidy her hair.

Jender smiled brightly at Krark, glad to see an excited face. "Hello there! You didn't have second thoughts, that wonderful! I think Lokkin went looking for the others...I am not certain where Jinnai is this morning, I hope I didn't frighten him off..." Jender says with an embarrassed giggle.

"Are you ready for some adventure????" She says changing the subject abruptly. Jender feels excited as well, but also fears what is ahead. The stone hasn't acted up in a day or two - which is making her very nervous....and has been preventing her from a good nights rest.

"I hope the others arrive soon, we don't want to miss the boat" she says watching Krark happily devour his food. She was instantly comforted by his presense...the Galka always seemed like big lovable teddy bears to her...badass killing machine teddy bears...

Buell had heard more than enough from that motley crew to realize that this was the group her organization had tracked to Jueno. The boothes in the tavern had tall backs and she was able to sit piecefully eating her meal and listen to their story unfold. She purred to herself at how she had stumbled upon them in the tavern attached to the very in she was staying at. So the information was true. They were trying to take the stone to him. Although buell was unsure of why they would do this she new that was their goal. And now with an emissary of bastok (she new not his exact title) things would be a little trickier. No one will miss a ragtag group of adventurers out for glory. But if this galkan has any notable stature with Bastok they may ask questions.

“I can’t let him get his hands on it!”she mumbled to herself. She had packed her scant belongings that night and set to making plans. With a cloak wrapped tightly around her to hide her armor she headed down the stairs the next morning. “Innkeeper I’m checking out” her informants had spent the night keeping track of most of them. “Why would they send one to Qufim isle? What would they need?” Buell headed for the airship to kazham. She would have to take the same ship as them which wouldn’t give her much time to prepare once she got there. Unless something were to happen on the way...

She almost cackled to herself as she briskly walked through the port. She was to meet her contact and report any changes. She was glad she had important information to report.
