what if....RP

As they lay Jender down upon the bed, she grabs Lokkin's hand, and whispers "Thank you" before closing her eyes and falling asleep. For someone who usually suffers from insomnia, she seems to be getting a lot of rest lately...

She dreams of a place where there are few trees...a very dark, lonely place, part of her wonders what she will awaken to - in hopes that there will be some answers, and a plan as to what to do next...

"OK people, we need to figure out what to do now, we need to figure out what we can do to help Jender," Lokkin said as he sat down beside Jender's bed

Lokkin noticed Mistaya was looking edgy but obviously whatever was happening to him had passed, for now, because he did not step over to comfort her, though the urge was there.

"Mistaya, not to put any pressure on you but we need guidance," Lokkin put on a mischievous grin, "we are as children to your knowledge oh wise one, please tell us what we must do so shall we obey."

Jinnai looks at Lokkin confused.

"What are you talking about?" Jinnai questioned, Jinnai being gone for awhile had him miss a lot of details. "You need guidence for what? And what is with that stone and the way it makes Jender-chan all weird?" Jinnai interrogated further.

"I have never been in this situation before so I don't know what to do, Mistaya does so she is going to guide me through it, guidance for "what" would be to help Jender, as for the stone.... I have no idea,"

Lokkin looked over at the still edgy Mistaya and was hit by the urge to comfort her again, and almost did,

"We can only hope it works out alright."

ooc: alrighty then heeeeere we go. If this is totaly wrong plz inform me so i may make adjustaments.

ic:

"That stone is a menace. We have to get it away from her, sooner the better. But its not going to be easy. See, its a parasite. Like... like a Pugil Worm. Its just not physical..." Mistaya blushed. This wasnt coming out right. Everyone looked kinda confused.

"But instead of eating her insides, its eating away at her heart." She sighed. "But if we try to take it by force we could damage her mentally, or even... Kill her. I was once in her place so i know what she is going through. But... I only know one person who can really help us help her and that person lives very far away."

"How far." Lokkin asked.

"The base of Ifrit's Cauldron." Mistaya answered.

Lokkin gets up and walks to the far wall.

"This is going to be difficult.... are you sure you are all up for it?"

Lokkin looks around the room at the people gathered

OOC: gotta go to school now ill post when i get back

Jender opens her eyes to see Jinnai staring at her with a concerned look on his face. She smiles, not completely awake...noticing the character lines on his face. He looked as though he, too had been through many rough times in his life - which was comforting to Jender in her current state. She winked at Jinnai, then shut her eyes and fell back to sleep.

OOC: i am now back and ready to roleplay for an hour and a half... then i gotta go to swimming for 2 and a half hours(club swimming)

IC: "Well.... if you all wish to come along we should probably get some rest, we head out at dawn tommorrow.. if thats ok with you Mistaya." Lokkin gives her another mischeivous grin.

Getting up with an effort, he headed for his room, fully intending to spend the whole night and until sunrise figuring out what was happening with the stone.

Jender awakens abruptly to the sound of her own heart beating. Panicked, she looks around the room...and notices 3 soundly sleeping bodies. <sigh> "My angels" Jender says as she rises and walks toward the window. She gazes at the beautiful night sky, then notices Lokkin sitting outside. She walks out and sits beside him...he looks troubled and she fears that it is her fault.

"Hello there" Jender says "Was there something you wanted to tell me when we were alone?" Jender smiles at Lokkin playfully, trying to keep spirits up, if that was any longer possible.

Lokkin jumps a foot off the bench when Jender pops out of nowhere.

"Jesus you made me think you were... never mind, yes as a matter of fact there was, lets go into the forest aways, I heard Mistaya playing her music so there is at least one person not asleep in the house."

Lokkin led Jender into the clearing that she passed out in.

"Well, i guess this is as good a place as any, ok.... well that stone... it has not always been a parasite, neither have any of the stones, they become parasites when something happens to there owners, guardians or anything along those lines,"
Lokkin stopped to give Jender a little time to realise what he had said then nodded,
"The thing I had to tell you is that as much as that stone is a burden, it can also be a gift, you can use that stone to do amazing things, terrible things, impossible things, anything and everything,"

Lokkin saw Jenders face brighten a bit,

"Don't assume too much, it's power is linked with your's and even as it eats at your heart and emotions it gets weaker as you do, I shall teach you how to use the stone on our trip to ifrit's cauldron, well we have a few hours left, I might aswell try and get some sleep."

"Goodnight Jender," bowing to her as he left.

Lokkin walked into the room and found Mistaya staring at him.

"You heard it all I presume?"

Just at that time, Inuko pops into the Room. "Good News, Pack ! I have just Rrrememberrred the Way to Ifrrrit's Cauldrrron !" she opens up, "Afterrr All, My Trrribe used to hunt therrre alot, until the Bombs came.".

She sits down on the Floor, checks her Backpack and starts generally Preparing for a Long Journey.

"And I am surrre you can use a Guide, can't You ?" she goes on, mumbling under her Breath, "I should know, even we who lived therre could have used one ..."

"I told you before... I have my eye on you." Mistaya said with a threat in her voice. "And i will not let you lead someone down the path of destruction. Do you have any idea what you are playing with here? I may not have said everything I know. But I have said what was important for the rest to know. Power corrupts everyone Lokkin. Especially those who want it most."

She turned but said one more thing before stalking off.

"The sickness she is experiencing will fade very soon... It is just her body acclimating to the power. You know this."

With that she left the room and went to sleep. They would depart in the morning.

Lokkin was stunned, obviously he knew very little about the stone, compared to mistaya anyway.

Looking over towards the door he was struck by the urge to follow after her and say something, what he didnt know, and wouldnt know since he resisted that urge.

"Why do I even try to socialize," he mumbled, "I'm never trusted, pushed away, or end up in a sick bed."

The urge hit him again but he ignored it, got undressed and went to sleep.

During this short Conversation, Inuko was sitting in the Next Room, Preparing, Planning and very quietly Listening. 3 Things her Tribe always was good at.

Somberly, her thoughts turned to the Past, The Chieftainesses Stone, the Bombs and the Trek through the Jungles of Khazam. Memories of Loved Ones, Disease and endless Jungles washed over her. After a Brief Check of the Necessary Equipment, her Axe mostly she enters the Room they were all Sleeping in and went into an uncharacteristically Fitful Sleep. Those Memories she had buried for so long had come back ...

Morning came too swiftly.

Everyone gathered their things and grouped up outside the inn. Jender was still kindof woozy but already she was feeling a lot better.

Mistaya was worried by that.

"Allright guys. We are going to go overland. Past Ronfaurue and into Lathine. This is the first step on the journey." She pointed to the locations on the map.

Lokkin hadn't got much sleep, it still felt like bruises all over him from the urge to go and tell Mistaya, that something that he didnt even know.

"Lead the way."

Lokkin was still weary of Mistaya, saying even fewer words than usual ever since that conversation before Jender passed out, he did not like the way he had to tip-toe around her but there was nothing for it until the stone was unlinked, and no matter what Mistaya said that was what he intended to do.

OOC: im gonna go get some rest, im pretty tired of insulting roofie and making up creative posts over here too, see ya all 2morrow

Although Inuko hadn't been a Scout for a While, she was still Impressed by the Way Mistaya planned the Route.
The Route followed Path's easily taken by Humans and the even Less Nimble Species, so it promised some easy Days for her.
"Food should be easily obtained herrre" added Inuko, "but that wil be a Prroblem once we take the Long Journey through Jugnerr, Funguarrs arrre not good Eating and the Leeches arre poisonous. Tigerrs and the Gigantic Sheep be ourr only Source of Food, unless we Plan to Steal frrom the Orcs." This was finally some familiar Ground for the Mithra, Travelling had been second Nature for Inuko since the Disaster in the Village she grew up in.

"You, we need to talk" purrs Inuko in Passing, pitched so that only Mistaya could hear. "Yourr Knowledge is Grreat, but I think it a Prrrofessional Courrrtesy to Warrn You of my Intent ..."

After the Brief brush with Mistaya, Inuko takes a Flanking Position next to Jender and waits for the Signal to move out.

OOC: Quick note..Jinnai never sleeps...and i will role-play why...

IC:

Jinnai sat in the corner, surveying the room and looking out at the blood red moon. Jinnai sighed and envied the others ability to sleep. Jinnai doesn't suffer from insomnia, but from the dreams he has. Everytime he allows himself to sleep, he only wakes with anger and tears. Now, even when he blinks, he gets the image of his family being ravaged by Beastmen; Hordes of them jumping from their hiding spots and releasing their full power on to his parents, as Jinnai watched from the cliff above, kneeling to the ground, anger flowing through his veins, and tears of pain ran down his face and sizzled on the hot dirt beneath him. Jinnai whispered under his breath, "Damn you San d'Oria...If you just didn't send my family into that ambush, then maybe I could get some rest..." Jinnai looked back at the people that were deep in sleep. Jinnai got up, and walked to the doorway. "Ifrits Cauldron eh?...I might as well leave now, before San d'Orian Knights search the city for me, I wouldn't want to put them in danger..." Jinnai said softly.

He pinned a note on the table in the room saying he left before them, and that by the time they read this note, he was well on his way.
