Hi-Jacked again..lol
Well now after reading through this Incredibly Long and Twisted post, I finally think I found something enjoyable about it. (Aside from the fact that I have been away from FFXI too long and I am feeling the effects - read Feening)
Now I havent checked dates to know if time and updates have any bearing on the WHM equip convo (and I do bow to Mokk as this increases the "derailing") but two of my LS mates regularly aquire the astral rings in the bcnm (cant for the life of me remember the name, but its got the bats with Colo Colo or whatever) and this is at Lvl 30 +/- 5. We have been doing this for a few months now so I dont know if any recent updates changed the drop rate or whatever.
Now I play a hume SMN at lvl 34 and also have my WHM at 26ish. I can see where the plus to MP would be nice when you are PTin with ppl that need you to "save their asses", and with my SMN I wouldnt mind being able to get one more cure off while my Avatars are out, but I also dont have the lvl knowledge with either job to be certain how long that MP benefits you compared to other items I have seen for said slots.
As for Tarus, yes I sometimes drool over their MP pool, but I also play with a kick-ass Galka WHM. And I just want to add that having played with both races as the whm in my Pts, sometimes I think that if the Tarus do have "excess" of MP they (and this is just in my limited experiences) "slack" a little more then another race does/can afford to.
Basically if it came down to PT forming based solely on Items or MP, I would not be so impressed with a pair of Astrals on anyone save a SMN or RDM. And thats only because I like my debuffs and I know the extra effort required when playing a SMN with lower than Taru MP. This is also because my lvl isnt anywhere near 60+ and I simply dont know the types of EQ available for those lvls.
Now I guess I should say a word about the "Topic" so that I dont have to fear deletion....LOL

um, Mokk. Havent bothered to read the originating post and dont care. Glad you made this one, it was a fun read.
I stopped trying to follow who knows who and who said what about whos mother after about page 4 .. again LOL. So I guess I could do something that would unite you all in a common goal to Flame ME. But I really dont know what it would take to irk you all enough to play nice.. HUGE LOL.
