What is your ambition?

My goal was to be well known (for good things ^^;) buy since I seem to be just another Taru, so my new goal is to be a bad ass THF, and one day get a scorp harness and an Optical hat and /laughs. THF tank some HNNMs when my old brothers and sisters (the PLD) fall. Oh and to take on HNMs, and on my THF note, I want all the status symbols possible, Striders, Scorp Harness, Optical hate (These 2 are repeats =P) Peacock charm, THF's knife, Chicken Knife, and the those parachute pants! I love the THF AF! Ok I'mma stop before I write 99999999999 pages on all the stuff I wanna do, for now I just wanna be a THF.
 
I think my ambitions now is to be left alone so i can finish off COP missions.

I doubt it'll happen before i eventually quit, but i'd also like to complete my list of NM titles... I still need to kill fafnir, nidhogg, aspido, and Kirin... yea its gonna happen w.
 
I want to help the newbies. I travel out of the way for raises. I always answer questions. I like doing escort runs with sneak and invis (well, not exactly like, because sneak and invis never last more than 2 seconds, but I'm still willing). Lately, my kick has been giving my raisee a pie or mithkabob. That way there, since they always insist on tipping, I don't feel like I'm robbing the poor. I have plenty of money anyway. I give them some beneficial food, and hopefully they can get their exp back even faster than usual (and if they weren't already, they'll be aware of how much food really does help.) Apple pies and Mithkabobs aren't too much to spare now that I can make a decent living off of gardening and insect paste. Once I get my beastmaster up to level 50, not only will I be able to raise camp again (in shakrami, my home away from home), but I'll be awesome at killing unwanted aggro. I used to be the ghoul killer when I camped as a whm, it'll be even easier as a high level Bst. Yeah, my ambition in FFXI is to be the leader of the newbies, so to speak.

Maybe I should share mine now.

This is never really going to happen, but if it did, then my mission is complete. My goal is to be a well known fighter(A good one, hahaha) and also to be one of the most feared combatants in Ballista.

However, that will never really happen...but I can dream can't I?
 
Tee hee Pompidou, me and you have pretty much the same ambition other than the fact you sould loaded and high level.

My fave thing to do in the game is kill gobbo trains in the dunes....
 
To make friends and help them achive greatness, to achive greatness my self, to protect the weak, and smite all evil form the face of Vana'diel, and to unite and join the forces of all 4 nations (Bastok, Windy, Sandy ,and, Jeuno)
and to go with them to every corner of the world and wipe all beastmen that will not join us off the face of the planet, so, that even the biggest Galka or the smallest Tarutaru may wander the world in safety
 
the bestest dream of mine in the entire world would be to have 75 mnk, with full relic armor, and sphrai hth....i drool over having Final Heaven...

oh, and to not have to worry about running out of money anymore :)
 
To lvl RDM to 75 meleeing the entire time :lol: .

On a more serious note, I play to maximise the potential of my character, using decent equipment (not outrageously expensive stuff just appropriate) and to make friends (can never have enough friends :) ).

Or maybe Im just addicted (its happened before *sigh* what a waste it was)
 
I would like to max out Club, Scythe, Staff skills, and get full AF2 and Abjuration, among many other things... my list of goals could go forever I guess.
 
I would love to get every job to 60+
but really, ill be happy when i lose "noob" status
(i got put back in my place today :cry: )
 
As a monk I would love to someday get my gaurd skill capped...
 
I have 3 and 1/2 goals:

1) my inspiration to become a thief came from Archain's awsome dancing edge video. I wanna get dancing edge and live that goal:
I want to make a movie like Archain....except....as a taru taru!

2) Assassin armor *drool*

3) Get many crafts to ridiculousely high lvls so I can HQ everything and make lots of money so I wont be restrained by gil in the first place, and I can pay Ashkloud (great person, great player, great attitude!) that 50K she gave me when I was a newb.

1/2) lvl ninja a bit to get utsusemi: ni and be a BAD !@# tarutaru!

get a craft to lvl 90

get lvl 75 and do HNMs forever.

Be a BAD@$$ Thief

and do it all with Asiamise at my side. :lol:
 
I think I have three goals so far:

1) To be a helpful player. I like to cure and protect strangers when I see them, and I want to be known as a reliable (and funny) guy to have in a party.

2) To max out my Black Mage. I want all skills and levels capped to be the bad-ass taru I know I can be.

3) To take a screenshot of my character standing in front of every Notorious Monster in the game. It doesn't matter if it kills me or I kill it first, but I want my own version of boring old vacation slideshows where I can say "Look, there I am standing in front of Dogglix Muttsnout! What a handsome creature!"
 
There are no ambtions or goals in mmorpgs, you finally meet your so called goal and they will give somethign else to do, SE wants your money. Lol. :D
But if i had to pick something i guess i just wanna get to Lv70+ would be nice, with some nice gear, nice LS (witch my ls now is super grear), da works ya know, Oh and also i would like to get cooking to 100 so i can sythn shogun rice balls, yes?
 
Got quite alot some completed, some still to come:

1. Get blm, Rdm, Mnk to 75
- Blm is 75 so done
- Mnk is 74 so 1 more @38k
- Rdm is 72 so 3 more to go

2. Complete all missions of all 3 kingdomes + Zilart + Promathia
- Sandoria rank 9. So that leaves 1 more for sandy
- Windrust and Bastok still nothing done
- Zmission 13 so 5 left
- CoP missions ... well still need to do. Taking my time. I am in no rush

3. Get some crafting done. My goal is Cloth to 100 the rest to 60.
- Cloth is currently 65.3 so 34.7 more (ugh)
- Alchemy is 56 so 4 more to go
- Gold smith is 28 so 32 more (this eats cash big time)
- Wood work 16... enough to make me bolts... so 44 more
- Bone craft with fantastic 8 -_-; so 52 more
- Cooking 43 so 17 more to go
- Fishing ... no comment
- Smithing whooping 1... so 59 more to go
- Leather crafting still untouched... I need 20 asap -_-

4. Completion of all DOABLE quests in the entire game
- Sandoria quest almost done
- Bastok quest ... not much
- Windy quest not much either
- Norg/Rabao/etc. not much

Thats my current goals. HNM is out of my sight. It brings more stress than joy but that is just me. Perhaps after finishing all my goals I might consider it but It will be god knows when.
