what next?(job)

Ok, atm i'm taking a break due to rl things.Yet my war is lvl 71 and when I play I play to level.I can get 1-1.5 levels a day depending on parties and how long they last.Yet I was thinking to myself "*hmmm*" what should I level next Bard or thief.Now i've balanced everything and saw that they both have great outcomees.Bard being from20+ you get pt invites up the arss.Thief being lvl 45+ you can make a crap loud of gil.Now personally I've never had gil problems idk why i guess i'm just lucky and are always there when people quit>.> or have really nice quiting friends who give me a crap load of stuff.Yet does anyone know if its hard to transfer from a melee to a bard?Or would i just be better off sticking with thief? any info would help me thanks^.^

It's not hard to transfer. It is a different feel. There a few things to master such as positioing, sleeping, back up healing, etc. Your party will love you for stopping a Bomb Toss with Lullaby. I found it very fun to play bard, espeically later on in canon parties where it's fun to pull and fun to die while pulling.
I am a THF and a BRD. Currently 72 THF. I'll finish it by next week.

If you want to level THF, I recommend you get form some type of static because it is very hard to get invites as a THF. You'll have to make your own parties to level it at a good pace. Seeking on THF is just soo very sad. If you like to farm/fish/craft then you may be able to make that work.

I'd recommend you level bard once you finish WAR. You'll level much faster and have a little versatlity having both a Support and a DD job.

I used to be drk.. got it to like 56 and just got tired of standing there not doing anything while my character wailed on the mob swinging his scythe. The occasional drain or aspir or WS really didn't thrill me like playing a bard did. I then played bard to about the same lvl and honestly had a much better time with that job. I even had rdm subbed b/c I never liked the healer whm role and it still worked out really well. The nice thing about the job is u get quick invites and it keeps you busy while you're in the party.. bard can't just stand there like melee type jobs. You're always on the move, always making sure your songs are up the buffs are up etc etc. Lotta fun plus ppl love bards.

Honestly, it isn't very hard to switch from one to the other at all. It's just a different mindset. I have two characters I switch between. One is a mostly mage character and one is a primarily melee character. I am on both pretty much interchangeably throughout the week, one job being white mage and one being dragoon and though they are very different, I switch between them comfortably. I also leveled bard to 37 and I can tell you that I found it a lot of fun. It really depends on the kind of role you want to play in your party. Bard is all about buffing the party/debuffing the monster (and all about much love from the party who will love their increased stats/exp rate), whereas you know thief is busy usually pulling/sata/meleeing in the thick of things. I loved bard... I've debated returning to it at some point to level it more. Hope this helps you some.
