What was that about Besieged being way too easy?

I'd say parties are required. At least got for buffs and curaga. It also enables better communication for coordinating each group.

They help, but they aren't required. Big difference. If you want to fly it solo, go ahead.

I did a search while we were waiting for the trolls to arrive. There were at least 250 people there before it started.

The flans (of which there were at least half a dozen) opened with Sleepga. Quieren got nuked down in a one-shot attack. The trolls brought flans, scorpions, bomb clusters and some other roach-like thing I didn't recognize. Most of the alliance I was in ended up dead at one point or another.

My homepoint was in Al Zahbi, so I HP'd and had to wait for them to breach the gate before I could get back into the action. It was mucho sweet, exactly the sort of experience I wanted.

I don't know how it works if they breach the first set of gates, but you can access the battle in a round-about way if you have ranged or magic attacks. A couple of nights ago I warped into Al Zahbi just before the start of a Beseiged and changed my sub in my MH, but by the time I came out the battle had already begun and the gates on the lower levels were all locked. However, I discovered that if you go to the upper level you can at least access the ramparts in the middle of the Besieged quarter and attack the mobs at the zone gates with magic attacks even though the gates on those ramparts are locked on the lower level.

So can someone answer me this, when do the mobs attack? Like at what lvl or when, whats triggers them from going from preparing to advancing or attacking or whatever it is

I'm pretty sure it's when their forces reach 150. Not sure what triggers levels though. I'm guessing level 1 when they hit 100, then it's somewhat random from there until they advance.

The the first attack was when they hit 100 forces, second and third were somewhere between 100 and 105. And eventually it just grew higher and higher with time.

No idea what determines the lvl though, heh... 10 after the 100 mark forces = 1 lvl perhaps? <.<;

i think they grow stronger everytime Al Zahbi is successfully defended
so i think the next lvl is going to be ...

everyone Protect the free warp tarutaru !

OMGz! Don't kidnap my taru! >.< I'm gonna propose to him T.T

Whenever the beastmen kidnaps my warp taru. I'm gonna take a huge group with me to beat their heads in >.< he's MY taru ; ;

From what I can tell, Besieged's maximum is level 5, 150 forces. Maybe that'll change after we keep beating them back, who knows. And this besieged was the most fun I've had in a -long- time. Homepointing with no exp loss is a fun bonus, means that everybody can just zerg our way to not-losing (assuming they're not crazy and have their HP in a place other than Al Zhabi)

I stopped coming to these since they kept being dissappointing. Maybe I will actually make my way back now though since it seems there is an actual challenge ^.^

I'm glad it finally got harder, the last one I did sucked so much ass - not as bad as the first one, but I think there were about 850 people vs 20 or so mobs on tuesday =/

We only had a group of 9'ish people, but it was still pretty fun. A bunch of people got oneshotted by some bombs blowing up at one point, though I managed to resist (but still have ~300 HP knocked off even with stoneskin..)

I got to kite a lot of junk around too. :P

I felt so stupid. I was actually in whitegate and didnt know the mobs were attacking ; ;. I only found out when i randomly zoned into al'zabi and saw this NPC with a bad ass sword. Was there for about 20 seconds and got a cut sceen that we won the besieged....

Checked later on that the mobs were attacking in my message log.... I missed out on somethin fun ; ;.

Yeah, that was a fun one. Those clusters are what really raped us. All those Self-Destructs with them still at high HP... Clusters really need to be killed first, as fast as possible. XD I had Barfira and a fresh Stoneskin up, and I still got hit for 1018 damage. Just look at this pile of corpses those clusters caused!

Oh damn, glad I didn't go to that besieged o.O Yeah, the last one I went to, with dragons, was somewhat a bit challenging. Well not so much challenging, but took a bit longer, but was that a full wipe? o.o how many people were there?

Edit: nvm, just read first post now XD I had scrolled down first and seen that pic when I posted what I typed above.

Wiping is part of the fun of Besieged, especially with no EXP loss to worry about. ^_^

The Flans are nasty too, btw. I didn't get hit by it myself but someone mentioned they cast Sleepga.

its true you dont lose xp, but you do gain some Xp from the event.

if you die, it resets. also, you gain equal IP to the Xp you gain. (usually its 10%)

so 700xp = 700IP instead of 70.

small totals yes, and easily outdone in any merit pt, but its a reason to not die. 7,000xp in a merit pt is still a good 30min of partying.
