In any FF...

FFVII - Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent(Booyah! He rules!) If I couldn't have Tifa, I would of gone with Yuffie or Red, and if not them, then Cait Sith

FFIX - Zidane, Vivi(If he was a race in FFXI, i would gone with that...), Dagger, and Freya(She rules too!)

These are the only too I played so far ^^;
 
FF7 : cloud, Cid and tifa^^ They rule so much!
FF8: Squall, Quistis and Irvin. I only really needed Squall. everyone else was just there
FF9: Zidane ( my favorite FF Character^^ hence the avatar^^) armant, the little girl, I forget her name, and garnet. Vivi was alright
FFX: tidus, Auron!^^ Rikku I used the most. I only used the others for back up of yuna for healing
FFX-2: yuna, rikku and pain (duh)
FFXI: Chpal, cause he rules sooooooooooo much! lol
FFXII: Who knows?? I cant wait for it^^

Holy crap, me and Tyrion almost have the same exact choices in end game parties. Only differences are...

FFVII:Vincent instead of Yuffie
FFXI: Pupusa instead of Tyrion, LOL
Chrono Trigger: Frog/Glenn instead of Marle/Nadia
Xenogears:Billy instead of Emeralda
Xenosaga: Jr. instead of chaos

I usually like to use characters with guns, LOL.
 
Um.. i dont remember what my end party for FF3/6 was nor do I remember exactly who I beat 7 with.

But I can tell you How Chrono Trigger went ^^ First time through the game was: Crono (there is NO h!), Marle, and Lucca. I used them pretty much the next few times beating the game through, but once i got the Black stone or whatever it was that allowed a certain kick ass triple tech. I started always beating it with Magus, Marle and Lucca. Did I mention, that game pwns.

-added- I just noticed Tyrion didnt put in H in Crono's name, so now I feel silly. There are people that do put an H in there because of the game's name, so I'll leave it said anyway, just for those people.
 
i've beaten three games... none of them in the main series >_<

FFT: Ramza (lancer), Dancer, holy knight, Cid, summoner

FFTA: Marche (ninja), assasin, dragoon, red mage, summoner, montblanc (gunner)

FFL: Human male and three Mutant females.

I tend to build my parties on maximum effectiveness - notable because I sincerely hate Yuffie (I hold a grudge for her stealing my materia!)

As for Emeralda, doing 17k damage per turn with no fuel use is very sweet.
 
FF7: Cloud, Barret, Cid, or Tifa. Best damaging limit breaks n' stuffu u know?

Xenogears: Fei, Billy(or Bart), Citan for the first time around then Billy gets kicked out Emeralda

FFT: Ramza, Cid, Beowulf, Knight w/throw item, Knight w/ 2 swords, and Mustadio. Movement abilty: Teleport for all n_n.

FF8: i used Zell for Boo ya's drunken style :D...but i never really like that game. i beat it and then i forgot most of that game on purpose.

Chrono trigger-Umm hard to answer I beat the game about 10 times not counting new game+(which is dozens in inself) but I suppose I love-Crono, marle, frog.

Chrono cross-Serge,kid, guile.
 
FF6 - Gao made it to level 90something while next nearest person was 60something... he alone was endgame.... even though i never actually ended the game :P (and no i didnt use any cheets... i realized potential in Gao and spent alot of time getting his different "modes")
He was equipped with some sword that occasionally casted pearl.... or was that his berserker mode??? dont remember.
His evasion/defense was over 110% somewhere and would either evade or block using some uber shield (i gave him some sort of sub item that lets him equip ANYTHING [hence the Ragnarok or whatever sword + uber shied] ). Ninja guy i didnt manage to save... Setzer stayed level 17 forever. Cyan was 60something. Thf guy was 58.

ff7 - Cloud, Tifa, Cid

ff8 - Squall, Rinoa (her limit break would always make my characters invincible), Zell or girl-in-yellow-short-thing

ff9 - Zidane, Quina (had a sick combo with quina... basically it revolved around using Limit Glove and "re-raise"), both smn girls (that final summon was like 2 mins long to cast... some boat transformer thing... maybe called Ark.... it stacked to well with REGEN)

ffx - Tidus, wakka, yuuna
(actually one of my bros was pretty obsessive with power in that game... and oldly enough his 2 strongest characters PHYSICALLY were..... Yuuna and Rikku.... it was messed.... auron was a weakling :shock: )

FFT Advance - dont remember names.....

other games
Chrono Trigger - Chrono, marle, lucca

Chrono Cross - this gam ehad like 49 characters or something.... 3 favorites besides the main was.... Norrin (carries a gun).... Some little girl thats attacks revolved around water and string phones..... and this little alien that looks like the Pikmin guy (except this guy would call upon some BADASS space-mecha-gundam something-or-other to just RUIN all baddies... then it would pose as it flies away)
 
FF - Uh, I went with THF, BLM, RDM, WAR the last time I played, modeled after 8-bit theater. The chars were aptly named...THF, BLM, RDM, WAR. cough

FF4 - No real choice..the usual cast of characters.

FF5j - Uh. I remember the one dude is named Butz. That always made me laugh.

FF6 - Setzer, Cyan, Gogo, Sabin. And then Cyan got killed so when I fought final Kefka, Locke stepped in.

FF7 - Cloud, Cid, Yuffie. A terrificly powerful trio if you play them right. Plus, they are the best >_>

FF8 - Pffft. I didnt even need Squall for the last fight. As it tosses random people in, I was stuck with Irvine, Quistis, and Selphie. Still was a cinche though.

FF9 - Zidane, Vivi, Dagger, Amarant

FF10 - Auron, Wakka (Wakko!), Tidus

FFT - Ramza, Agrias (sp?), Orlandu, Beowulf, and the Engineer kid. I cant remember his name.

CT - Crono, Frog, Magus hands down the powerhouses of the game.
 
FF- (curently playing) RDM, WAR, WHM, MNK.......being a Rdm myself in FFXI i wanted to see what the RDM was like in the original FF. I am upset. My RDM does almost the same, if not more, dmg than my WAR. And the RDM has the lowest amount of HP/MP. WTF? i like rdm more in FFXI.

FFIX- didn't beat (memory cards got deleted w/2004 Holiday Demo Disc Error)
FFX- all i guess you could say but the main ones i think were: Tidus, Lulu, Waka maybe i can't remember.
FFX2- not much of a choice
 
I'm ashamed to say that I've never beat a Final Fantasy game.

I have video game ADD I think. I get too deep into a story, and get bored. The closest I've come is FFVII, and I currently have Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent (<3) in that party... ; ;...

I fail as a FF fanboy (Yes, fanboy, fangirl is so derogatory :P)

end game party? do you only beat them once? >,< am i a nut for having tried mostly every possible combination in every FF game?!! wait, that answers itself. favourite/most challenging parties ( will be marked C for challenge and F for overall most overpowered i found out there)

FF: WAR RDM RDM RDM (pre XI i had a rdm obsession) F... 4 whm was a def C >,<;;
FF2: ^_^ this game was so full of crap, no real choice in pt, sidetracking = doom...
FF3: never had a shot at playing it ; ;
FF4: no choice, not sure where i gto a char and when i lost them @_@
FF5: no real choices here.
FF6: Celes, Terra, Ed and SABIN!!! FF... a C would be anything sabin-less
FF7: this one had more than it's fair share of overpowered combos... Cloud (obviously), Tifa/Yuffie, Barret/Yuffie/Cid yuffie is my all-purpose substitute but Tifa and barret are where it's at F... but my C would be red and caitsith
FF8: you can do this game with any set up, Squall zell and rinoah... or the C goes to squal quistis and selphie
FF9: Is there a choice here? NO! Zidane, ViVi!! Steiner (especially if you get 100% approval in play-battle at beginning) and Garnet. FF! C is eiko over garnet, amarant over steiner and Freya over vivi. powerful in it's own special way but god knows it's just not the same.
FFX: It lets you switch in battle, for overpowered without switching... i dunno... everyone has their place... 'cept kimari... who i turned into a beatstick for the hell of it. eventually you can get the all practically the same...
FFX-2: no choices.
FFXI: THF, WAR(or MNK or SAM), PLD, BLM, BRD (or rdm), WHM

Chrono trigg: i did the everyone level'd things, most notably FROG beats all...

and to poor kipsy, /comfort after a while go back and play the game some more, do it a few hours at a time, god know it's how i do it every time i make a perfection file, even i'm not gonna spend long stretches of time getting finishing touch in reactor #1.... ^_^ weee that was fun though....
 
I have every intention of beating the games. Just, after a long stretch of time not playing a video game, I'm determined to start from the beginning again. It just takes the determination from me to stick it all the way through, and not suffer from video game ADD.
