summoning earring - summoning magic +3

or

antivenom earring - MP + 15 enhance resist poison, mp recovered +1

what would be better?

If I had to choose one over the other? I'd go Antivenom. Getting back your MP quickly is never a bad thing.

macro your smn skill when your avatar uses a bp then switch back to antivenom

skill affects bps potency its best to have both for attacking/buffing and the other for resting

Antivenom would be my choice.

Has this been proven?

I would assume it to be true Kiere. Plus Khidir has the BBC, which makes me always agree with him.

My vote is for antivenom, I have one myself. It's great, resist poison is big as a mage since you can't rest with it on. MP Regen while healing +1 never, ever hurts. +15MP is whatever. I have this and it is combo'd with Insomnia Earring. I mean, obviously both help. However, if it is one or the other I would go with Antivenom.

yes it was said when the smn class was buffed

any skill after reaching cap on smn skill would enhance bp potency like every plus +1 smn skill would affect durations of spells like hastega, crimson howl, etc. by 1 second more for every +1 skill but will not exceed a 180 second duration

I know the same applies for offensive bps but I dont know the correlation exactly

I know summoning skill affects duration, but this is the first I've heard of it affecting potency (i.e. damage mitigation from the stoneskin, acc/eva boost, MAB boost, haste%, etc. etc. - I thought all those were flat-rate, or varied with moon phase for Fenrir and game time for Diabolos) or offensive damage output. Linky to tests or more info?

Anyway yeah, macros 4tw. Macro in Antivenom with your rest macro (along with Dark/Pluto's Staff etc. and the obligatory "/heal on" of course), macro in Summoning when you use any blood pact (or at least any buffing blood pact).

If you're tight on cash such that you can't get both, your options are:
- Get neither and save money or spend it on something else.
- Get Summoning Earring from repeated ENM attempts.
- Same as above, but buy Antivenom Earring too.
- Get Antivenom Earring from repeated Mamool Ja Training Grounds assaults.
- Same as above, but buy Summoning Earring too.
- Get *both* items directly from source.
- Go do something or other for gil income, and then buy both items.

Point being, you have options, so you don't really have to *choose*. (Besides, you've got two earring slots, what's in the other one?)

wasnt saying potency i was tyring to say duration of buff bps I know se said it affected BP attack bps somehow but I'm not sure how, I'm also not sure that for buff bps that the effects are increased(though I'm pretty sure it doesnt)

so maybe i should wear the torque i got a year ago andf forgot about.
