What's going on with sigs?

I'd like to know why Braydon's sig was nerfed.

It wasn't too big, too long or wide.

It didn't show any obscene material, naked girls, animated gifs or whatever else that might break the board or scare off sponsors.

It was a lighthearted piece of critique. Or is that not allowed here either anymore?

Nothing, if you believe that was the reason. There's no rule about "mocking" QCDN, nor criticism against it.

It's been stated before by Sculli that direct advertising for a "competing" website isn't allowed, but the first time I had ever seen such a rule brought up was over QCNN ... it may have existed beforehand, but I'd certainly never seen talk of it about anything else. At the very least, I'm fairly confident that the rule has never been enforced over any other place but QCNN.



I'd have a lot of difficulty believing a sig that merely mentioned the name "Allakahzam" or "Killing Ifrit" would be similarly deleted. People link directly to those all the time, and Braydon's sig wasn't even a link ... it was a mere mention of its existence, and a tiny part of the sig at that.

Obviously I know more than you do. If you find a bridge and there isn't a specific sign that says "Hey, don't jump off this bridge", are you going to do it just because there isn't a rule against it? I swear there's something about the Internet that makes everyone lose their common sense. "Hey, this guy's providing a forum for him. Let's mock him in my sig, doesn't say I can't!"

God forbid people are able to be dissatisfied with a service provided, regardless of price or usage.

Note: I haven't seen the sig in question, but recently more things have been removed for less infractions so it could have been anything really.

Sure, you can be dissatisfied all you want to. Putting an image in your sig calling the site facist is the least effective way possible of doing anything about it, unless you just wanna get banned in which case just go ahead.
