Hello I am known as Deneb on the alexander server and wondering, how is the community there on quetz? Is it the same ole wait 5 hours to be in an exp party for 30 minutes? Do people take time to help out others in need over there? Let me know! Id appreciate some insight.
 
gonna depend who you ask i think. but if you are a lvl60smn, i think everyone struggles on that job around that level unless you have friends. :)
 
Browse around the forums (i.e. Events) and you'll get the idea =)
 
lots of mages are needed badly, you'd most likely get boxed into the main healing role but with the new expansion this may be reduced already(if sch and dnc are already in your lv range >_>; ) if not very soon in a month or so
 
lvl 60 SMN? It is so fun to solo bombs in Ifrits!!!!
 
There are asshats everywhere. At least ours are comical asshats.


And don't take anything you see on our flameboard seriously, because ultimately you'll have to decide who you like and who you don't for yourself.

My first server was Bahamut, played there for 6 months. Not much to go on, but I gotta say, I like it here on Quetz.
 
It's a pretty good server over all. There are quite a few fairly large, tight knit groups, but most of them are very accepting of some newer people. Quite a few helpful players, also quite a few complete assholes, of course the quetz gang knows the ones I'm talking about specifically.

Over all though it's fairly enjoyable. Not to bad on parties. There tend to be quite a few late night NA an EU players so you can find some parties even at night. From my personal experience the JP players aren't too tight assed and anal about inviting NA players. I know I get invites from them all the time, but of course my main job is BRD and my secondary is PLD lol

I've only had a few instances where a JP player refused to party with me. But it was probably more or less due to the fact that we couldn't communicate clearly enough, and they didn't want to deal with that. I've only dealt with one JP player who was flat out rude about it though, so it's not to say they aren't out there.

Oh, and get on the good side of most of this forum and you will be well off in the game, since this is the servers main board, Alot of us will be seen quite often in game throughout parties and events.

Shit, theres 8k members on this board, that has to be like half the server.

edit: 8956 to be exact. And oh, hows the weather in Sdale? I live in T-town my uncle is up there, much love for Az folks in FFXI.




I know I know, about half of them dont play and half of whats left arent on the server. So sue me.
 
well, i'll give alex the benefit if the doubt, been a long time since i have played this game. If memory servers, do they still offer server xfers? If so, i was thinking about coming to quetz. ciao and thanks for the insight!
 
The place where you live and in which time zone you play is quite important...
I started on Quetz and worked out ok.. I got 2 75 jobs there but dunno why.. invites and amount of people who seeked PT became less (I play in EU time) and since I am not a student anymore (when I started I was) I dont have that much time to play like I used to have... so I changed to a server with more EU people.. which worked out quite well for me...

Quetz is very nice for NA and Asian I think.

Llol i never ever get party during my asian time <_< lol. is alway during my midnight time or morning which is like NA afternoon to night.

Well... there are many JP players so I asumed it might be ok to get a PT :(
 
While the amount of JPonly isnt as ridiculous as i hear on bahamut/ect you still got a 50% chance of it happening on this server.( if you invite a jp for something and they dont respond immediately assume you got hit with jponry.)
Definetly alot of parties around NA primetime. Unfortunately for me this means anyime that I'm about to go to sleep.
Am I the only one that thinks we should organize one massive /check on raizondatre?
Last I saw him he tried to claim Japan was a better country than Bermuda aka one of the richest countries in the world which happens to be a place consisting of subtropicial islands and beaches ranking amoung the 10 best on the planet yearly.
I wanna see if he explodes when we get that many people to check him at once. He'll probably have a nervous breakdown from being unable to /check spam everyone for 30 minutes at once. Does anyone else have any clue how he /check spams so fast? I've tried making a macro but it's just plain impossible to try and check at the speed he shoots out using 1st party methods.

Quetz is full of agreeable players who help eachother out at every turn and love eachother very much. In fact, every wednesday we all gather in rolanberry fields and shoot rainbows out our asses.
 
Its not a bad server, and most japanese aren't assholes. I party with them often, though it's not a jp party it's just one or two getting invited into or being in a group like anyone else.

And Deneb.. I know where your name is from! Least I hope I do.. +10 points.
