Talking about people with weird names, when I just started playing this game, I did make friends with 3 RMT. Their names were Qooooooooooooo, Qpppppppppp (can't remember exact numbers of 'O's) and one more I forgot. I didn't know what RMT was, I just found it weird that they said that sometimes, if I talk to them and they don't respond, then it's someone else playing.

After a little while, I avoided them but I have to say it was still NOT because I found out what RMT were lol, I just got tired of talking to them in romanisation.

Long Long after that...... did I learn what RMT was lol.

Maybe you missed the whole ordeal with Ruffyreborn being a complete idiot and this guy coming to "defend" him because he's in the same linkshell as him.

And on that regretful note, I see many long meaningless names that seem typed by someone blind with their fist on the keyboard. They most prob do belong to RMT players, nice of them to make themselfs so obvious to everyone else, as if the crappy armour and no linkshell, or leveled sub wasnt enough to get our attention/ire.

Me too, I had a good chuckle...So yet another friend of mine picked up FFXI last week and I told him to hit ctrl-r for /tells. Lucky bastard.

On another note, I should just let him type out the full name. Serves 'em right for joining -2 years- after I started.

Longest name I know personally: (Old friend who has long time quit and forfeited his character to Scwall&Dow's get another k-club fund)

I just had a random idea for those with a spare or unused mule/pawn.

Get some people together, name their characters something like:

Longestplayer
Nameyouwillever
Seeinvanadiel
Fortherestof
Yourlifeplaying

Meet up in a starting city and line up. Quality photo!

Or better yet, a message for those RMT scum.
 
That sounds like a fun pic to have. I wish I could be involved, but I'm at the office atm...

Have everyone choose the same starting country/republic, because it will be hard for a level 1 to travel to another city to meet up. lol

Takufumijuwara (14) needs to be added to the auto-translate list... if not for length than just for pure typing pain in the ass factor.
 
Well Im Takumifujiwara and yeah 14 characters is hella long, You dont think about those things when its your first MMORPG you have no idea it matters for cures and the like lol. Yeah I died alot thanks to my name and I dont play tank to 75 for the same reason. The biggest PITA about my name is not the length persay, but the VARIANCE of letters. Its a mind fuck to type since the letters are all over, I still have a rough time typing it. Yeah I would die 6+ times per dynamis run while no one else died for the simple reason that people werent able to type my name in time. I guess its why I play sam and love the seigan third eye as well as BLM and I keep stoneskin and blink up lol.
