What's up with people

I had a party going in the dunes yesterday. We had the thief pulling crabs and she was doing a good job. Suddenly the 2nd war in the party decides he wants to pull, Then he pulls again w/o allowing time for the whm to get back her mp. so I kindly advised him that if he wanted to pull I was ok with that but to please pay attention to the whm mp because I almost died....He didn't say anything to me then suddenly he disbanded from party...Why do people get upset over something so stupid? I wasn't even being mean I'd hate to see how he'd react if someone yelled at him...

Really though, that was just a Dunes experience. There ARE nice/smart people out there, unfortunately Dunes tends to be ~95% bottomfeeder idiots.

I agree... I think he got pissed, I don't think he expected me to find replacment so fast... I wanted to /t him and say "Have fun lfg for a couple hours" but I didn't want to sink to his level...

I think it was just a kid under 15 years old.

I watched my cousin (6th grade, dunno age) play and he'd play like it was a one-player game.

They get bored of the game fast, but unfortunatly theres always a new batch of them.

Really people complain about pt's all the time. But the majority of the time I don't have a problem with pt's. I am sure some people would be pissed because at times I fall asleep in a pt(gets really late and can't find a replacement so I try to stick it out and it doesnt work). But when I do it it's either leave when I am tired and say I can't find a replacement or try to stick it out until I can find one(whihc as I said does not always work).

Anyway back on the topic. That one kid...was just a random kid...people are like that but, for the most part, in FFXI pt's I join(as any job) seem to have some pretty nice people. Of course there is always that one time when people's personalities clash or whatever, but really I would not go as far to say 95% of people are bottomfeeder idiots at any level. Sure people in the dunes may be seen as idiots but thats just because they do not know what their doing

There's only once incident of 'ass-ish' behaviour that sticks out in my mind, and involved this WAR and his WHM girlfriend in the dunes, who announced they were disbanding the party when the discovered 3 of their teammates were British. Something about the US War of Independence. :/

Everyone else has either been really great at their jobs, or they just haven't sucked enough for me to complain about.

Once I was in a party our rdm went afk for at least 1 hour before anyone noticed... We were doing just fine w/o him.. Lucky bastard lvl'd and everything... We finally ended up booting him from the party... What's funny is an hour or 2 later he finally left must of been gone all that time... He must of been happy to notice he lvl'd w/o doing any work...haha

oh gawd.....I dread to see all the little kids on their xbox playing FFXI. I'm so glad that I'm done lvl'ing any low lvl jobs for a very, very, very looooong time.

I noticed he was afk at one point but figured he said something to the leader so didn't say anything....also as we were partying i was paying more attention to what we were doing I kinda forgot...If it gimped the party we probably would of noticed but we had a PL at the time so we just didn't notice..

Also chock it up to being a noob at the time also

I don't think so. I do however think that we will be given a chance to mix with other servers.. though I doubt I'd be down for that. I know too many people on Quetzy I'd miss.

If our server becomes the designated n00b server, I'll stick it out with the rest of my friends. Not like thier aren't enough n00bs out there already. :banghead3:

That stuff happens at level 75 too.Its human nature really.Like in my case sometimes i end up dying 2 to 3 times but i hardly remember disbanding.But i know some whms and tanks out there who make a big deal out of dying and then call a whm to rez all the way from jeuno to sky

Sooo I take it you won't be levelin any of the new jobs that come out on the expansion?

If you party everyday, you'll probably begin to recognize people around your lvl...Usually a few peole will keep exping that same job at roughly your pace. So try to only invite people who you recognize, or atleast invite people who you think could fulfill their role. IE: If you're inviting a WAR with no subjob, ask him a few questions before you finally send the invite. There are plenty of ways to avoid noob situations...but yeh in Valkurm dunes it is pretty hard to avoid...Goodluck.

Xbox users have their own beta/demo server atm...

When the game is actually released on Xbox, I bet there will be another Server Migration and Xbox users will be playing along side everyone else.
