What's your most valuable item(s)?

Sattva Ring/Valor Surcoat symbolize long, epic struggles. Balrahn's ring symbolizes a struggle which was not quite as epic, but I'm glad I had the motivation for it.

Hands down, though, my most treasured possession would have to be the Parade Gorget. One of my friends synthed a Goblin Drink for me, and made another friend go to Moval and pop it. I honestly didn't know what I was getting into (info on the Goblin Drink recipe was new back then) but I'm eternally grateful, it'll always be a symbol of their friendship for me. I use it all the time, even to this day.

For me I'd probably say my Stars Cap. I have most of the items mentioned in this thread so far, but this is one thing that nobody else will likely ever obtain.
 
I would say Novia Earring :thumbsup:

And maybe Noble's Tunic. Only because it's been my biggest dream as a whm to own. :)

It's from the Ballista tournament they had a few years back, if I remember right. Liefe was on the team representing Quetz, I believe.

And my favorite item, definitely my Sorcerer's Petasos. Lots of boring Dynamis to get that, and it was an item I always dreamed about, but never thought Id actually get.
 
Moldavite Earring- I was lvl 50 blm and the person that was helping me had to go, (we had been outclaimed the two earlier pops) I decided to stick around one more window even though I couldn't beat the thing because everyone had left and sure enough the NM pops. Maybe 2 minutes later a 75 NIN logs on right there so I send him a /tell to see if he will help and he says sure! He kills it the earring drops and he passes it and the magic scrolls all to me. At this time I could barely afford spells as well and it was great to get an AM spell. It was the first truly nice item I had ever gotten and of course I still use it all the time.

Sorcerer's Coat- it reminds me of the linkshell that helped me get it and the fun I had with them. It is also one of my favorite looking pieces.

W Legs- reminds me of shell that helped me get it and I think + movement speed is my favorite mod in the game.

and sadly...the most expensive piece of equipment i've ever bought was a kriegsbeil for 1.5 mil (that I don't even use anymore lulz), but damn am I ever proud of that thing.

I didn't know they had one, was it servers vs servers or something?
 
It was first a server based tournament, then it pitted the head team from each server against other servers teams. We lost due to bad luck (we owned the other team in ways that cannot be explained with words, but over the course of the 20 minute tournament we could not quarry any petras due to extremely bad luck. When the match ended, the other team even said "How did you lose?!"). I really think we could have taken the crown if we didn't get screwed...but oh well.

And yes, it's usable once every 24 hours and came with the Final Ballist*****r title.
 
My most valued item would have to be dusk gloves+1 not because of the gil value, because of the fact that when i was in a sky LS (100 swords/affinity/fury) all i did was farm sky which did net me a full set of god gear and some random abj's which are very common by todays standards, but it also landed me a behemoths hide, which i took to a friend to craft.

Audino, the second person i ever knew in FFXI, when i got the game which was about 3 weeks after Playstation2 release the person who told me to buy the game (Arturus) introduced me to audino and since then all either of them ever did was help me when i needed it.

So i hand aud, who at the time was under the cap for Dusk gloves my hide to synth me some gloves just because i wanted them signed by a buddy and he begins to synth, then i see the begining of what i thought was a horrible animation and what for a split second i assumed to be the end of the road for my behemoth hide. then i read at the bottom of my screen "Audino synthized a pair of dusk gloves+1" then right away i see "Audino offers to trade with you"

He handed me the HQ and they haven't left my inventory since then

even if i every finish CoP and buy a brutals with the coins sitting in my mog locker, or finally get a rajas, the gloves and the fact that a friend just gave them to me instead of getting me a pair of NQ and cashing in on his HQ will always be worth the most to me.

Audino is good people. When you see him, tell him my Corazza was better. even though in the end, they both sucked lol
