What's your most valuable item(s)?

Herald's Gaiters. I ended up selling them because I needed gil. Then a friend gave me his so I have a pair to hold on to.

Everything else, I really don't care about.

Usukane Sune-Ate -- awesome item, but also because it took many many boss wins to finally drop the 25 piece. It was also my first complete salvage piece which means it holds that extra special value.

Hauby+1 -- back when they were nigh on 6M I saved pennies forever to finally purchase this sucker. Almost three years running and I will never sell it, NEVER YOU HEAR ME!

Sky/Sea Gear -- The whole lot of it! Kirin's Set, S.cloth for Nobles Tunic, Ushikirimaru, Justice Torque, Seiryu Sword, D.logs for my Shura... all of it I owe to my three years (and still running) in Rawr. Thanks guys!

Saotome Domaru -- I never really use this, but it took me two full years in dynamis before I got it and I was only the third SAM body drop in the entire history of the LS. Thanks Gladdy, Ajs, Cythe and the rest of the lolDynamis crew over the years.

Soboro & Swift Belt -- After many attempted starts, failed runs, runs that end before my drop and just general ass-pain, I've got them both and it makes me smile.

2 things my lolwalmart turban... I quit came back a friend of mine said hey wtf your back..... GET EXPANSION... so I did... then he spent his isp on it for me.. then 3 weeks later he quit ><.. then I quit and here I am again.

aaaaaannnnnnnnd

My dune boots... Me and 2 of my friends (both rdm and both quit ><) went to see if it was up. Mob was up... we tried to Trio... ha.. funny... then I got my sky ls to come rape it... good times

My most valuable item is the time I spend with my friends :)
<3 you all

Gotta say I feel the same for mine lol. My only completed piece atm but was the I wanted the most and was yelling on vent when the 25 finally dropped. Woke up early the next morning so I could get it ASAP :D definitly one if the bigger accomplishments for me because what I had to go through for it hehe

There are a few things on my list..
1)My blue cape +1 signed by Roark.. That was my best friends name when we played on Ifrit, and when he transferred, he brought it with him. It's one of two things I have from my days there.. since my character was deleted.

2)My miniature Airship and my Time Piece. My mog house is decked out in event furnishings and other random stuff, but I love them b/c not everyone has them.

3)My signed Royal Cloak from Trindel. He made it for me the day he quit.. was tier 0..and it was the first time he ever tried to make one..and it HQ'd.

4)My favorite thing in the game though has got to be my Tidal Talisman, which Rappa got me as a birthday gift.

for me, the value is usefullness over gil.

Apollo's Staff - For a BST, charm is everything. For charm, Apollo's staff is everything
Soboro Sukehiro - Hagun, Schmagun... I danced and yelled and screamed when I got mine.
Kirin's Osode - Even though I had a falling out, I couldn't be more proud that I EARNED this with a LS full of BSTs, and SMNs.

There's a lot more story for most of my gear. Even though it's not tons of gil, those items mean a lot to me personally.

My second peacock charm, given to me as a birthday gift from my gf to replace the one that an anonymous relic polearm'd dragoon sold while he owned my account for a few months.

D: What was I to do with 3? lol

My most valuable item is the time I spend with my friends :)
<3 you all

Here, here.

Reading the new posts for some reason reminded me of something I held pretty valuable. I had a static when I was first leveling DRG and when I got to AF time, no one wanted to help me get an Ifrit's Cauldron coffer key because for a bunch of people in the high 50's, that was a super dangerous and scary place. I went there with the intentions of trying to bribe anyone in the zone to help me. I came across a JP BST (at the time) named Eij. Through a bit of auto-translate, he was able to understand I just wanted a key and that was it. He invited me to the party, a key dropped, he congratulated me and refused any kind of monetary reward. I thought that was pretty awesome and I guess that coffer key is/was probably my most valuable "item."

My most valuable item? There's really no doubt about it, it's right here:

Why? I would quite literally be no where without these guys<3

Second to that would be my cleric's set, and my ongoing relic upgrade<3

Kirin's Osode its all i ever wanted in sky for my rng took me 4 LS's and 2 years to get even though in that time i got wlegs and byakko's haidate (both of those i only kinda wanted at the time)

Swift Belt- even though i have vbelt now when i got this i finally felt like a real ninja.

Bloodbead ring- had to solo this a few times on rdm and had to CC BVX and his noob group, then finally got it when cabich claimed and i was finally able to bring my thf.

Fire Sword- i lol at this now but i remember saving 8k to buy this back then and i loved all the awe and attention i got in valkrum dunes cause i had this sword on rdm and all the wars were hella pissed.

Hautclaire- only NM that made me contemplate quitting the game because of, so many times i just said screw it im done this isn't fair no one should go through this, but held strong thanks to support in LS and the ability to quad box <.<

Bigfun pearl- the original only, ran by runekane, davidd gave it to me in bastok markets when i was 3 rdm and he was like 16 drk and i was like omg he is so damn cool, i was shouting for a trade of a paralyze scroll for a cure scroll, he bought me all my spells for up to 13 rdm and gave me that pearl.

Zanshin pearl- biggest mistake odhinn did was break that we could dominate sky out claim ullikummi with like 6 ppl make full alliances watch us kill zipacna with 3, how do u break a shell that gets 7 autumn stones in 2 days before sky became a easy joke.

Perseverance pearl- after having such a drama filled LS game life with so many LS breaks, was the first endgame LS i could feel confident in, trust the ppl i played with, joined them and was like wtf how could a LS be this organized while fighting mobs that took alliances, everyone knew what to do ppl jumped to the HNM, dropped what they were doing to join a ls event didn't get lost it was like a dream coming from where i had been lol.

My promise badge- belonged to a good friend of mine

Auster's Staff- Even though we have our differences it was still really cool of Jamal to hook me up with it and I'm always grateful(even moreso since I use it a lot on smn)

Duelist's Chapeau- I guess the symbol of my hard work or patience with some of the most neurotic monsters in this game I've met so far

Yinyangrobe- got this under overwhelming odds and circumstances(and at 44) and I wear it proudly today

Joyeuse- the hardest nm I had to fight and deal with and something that was hard to get help for(special thanks to our bard for that one making it possible)

I think that's about it...can't I'm sure more will come to me

Gold Hairpin [Pimpingainteasy]- signed by an AG member on his GS mule and I've had it in my bazaar since I've bought it for rdm lol

I didn't really understand this thread when i read it the first time. Sure, I have items that friends helped me get and we had fun tmes, but the items themselves held no sentimental value to me, since they were just items.

Today, however, i tried to drop my Wizard's Petasos. I couldn't. Even though I will never use it again and it has become utterly redundant, I still keep it in my moghouse...I guess I'll always be a pinty het at heart, aye?

Well...

Speed belt - yes, its a valueable item but it means more to me than that, enough that I refuse to camp and rare/ex version and sell it. Reminds of the crew from imperial and all the fun we had, I smile everytime someone checks me and goes "haha the speed belt from imperial" R.I.P Planetary

Ace's helm - again, a turban would've worked just fine but I wanted one and without all the friend's that sat out there with me for hours and hours, waiting for a dumb NM that pops whenever it wants, I wouldn't have one.

Justice torque - Man.. Fkn sea and torque drop rates.. and after 8 tries it finally dropped for me.

I have many other things that I would've never came close to getting without having my friends spoiling me. No names because there's just too many, some old, some new but yea, many thanks to all the Origin,Imperial and Insurrection members.
