Average ping time (a measure of latency) could makes or breaks a multiplayer online game experience. It's largely affected by distance, as well as traffic, line condition etc. It is crucial in FFXI, for instance, NM claiming.
Just wondering what's your average ping time to www.playonline.com, where the server is based in Japan I believe, which can give a rough idea on your ping time to FFXI server. It would be the best if you can post your result along with your location.
Here's how to test it (for those of you who don't know):
Start > Run > cmd, then type "ping www.playonline.com" in the command prompt.
