When bad parties bitch and moan that you're leaving.

I like this post, brings up some good issues about party ettiquite (sp?)

I will often suggest going back to jueno and regrouping instead of bringing in a replacement if i dont like the flow of a party but i never thought about it as a rule of thumb when your the one being replaced.

I think ill keep that in mind... it is better than dragging someone into a bad party.

That being said, any party leader should be willing to replace if your willing to wait for replacement

I dont think Jag was being elitist, a player with no food might as well just not party. I think the major problem here was tollerating that party setup to begin with, 2 RDMs?? 2 refreshers and only 1 other mage? 1 of these RDMs is a complete waste of a spot, any other job could fill that spot and add to the party.

I think gimp gear can be tollerated if the person is leveling their first main. Not everyone stumbles onto good ways to make gil right away,, and not everyone can afford the better gear. I myself was pretty lucky to have mined before the points were camped, and cap fished before caps were nerfed and leveled a craft, and even now im trying to find new ways to make gil with the new crew of gusgen miners undercutting darksteel.

There are alot of sub-par players who hide behind ninja tanks, they dont do it intentionally, but a ninja tank allows them to not notice their own bad play. When the PLD dies for the 3rd time in an hour, a player might get a hint, probably not, but a ninja with decent hate control and good utsus cycle can mask a bad player because he gets what he wants..... XP.

I was guilty of this myself for a couple of levels, I was wearing IM at 50 in a DD role when i should have stuck with Brig, but my DMG was still competitive.

It's very difficult to have gear up to the standards of a player who's leveling their 2nd or even 3rd job. But Ninja is a very expensive job, bringing it to 37 cost me a bundle. Maybe the best way is what someone said earlier, straight out say: "This party is horrible and I want to leave."
