Just curious what are your thoughts on this stuff? I have tons of really neat money making and NM hunting tips but I keep them to myself to keep from having increased competition.

Should I spill my guts on these before I leave the game, (not that I am leaving right now) but just thought maybe I could find out your thoughts on the ethic of this.

Yes, show me secrets to make money. I need Phalanix but it costs a lot of gil.

Not so worried about in game world domination, I realy just want to not die so easy. I would be happy with that.

Bah... I always feel the best gil-making strategies are the one you come up with yourself. I don't mind anyone sharing their strategies, I just know they'll go from great to good or average once many people jump in on the bandwagon.

Let's be honest your not going to make millions of gil in this game without some kind of work.

Unless you find a random player with 5 mil gil who just gives it to you.

Anyway there are many ways to make money, its just how much work you want to put into it.

Try to be a little more specific.

Ok - I have a question. I am a rdm/blm. Whenever I hunt NM's and their is ANYONE else around, they voke them away from me. (DIA is fast, but not that fast) Is there ANY solution to this other than lvling a WAR?

Also, any farming tips? I have been farming bee chips and silk thread until the cows come home - and the drop rate (I am not a thf) is CRAPPY so it takes for ever to get a stack. I am ALWAYS broke, and am trying not to run up to random strangers and say "I'm a girl, can I have your money?" Which does work, but ruins my self respect...HELP!!!! I have tried the AH scams where you buy a spell from a shop then sell it for WAY more gil at the AH...but that just seems so shady to me. :( PLEASE show me the way :)

As my RDM gets higher up the foodchain, the spells and armor are killing me gil-wise.

You need to do what I did and level THF up to 15 for treasure hunter, and then sub THF for your RDM when farming. As soon as I did that my drops really improved.
 
What lvl are you?

Pretty much the winning order is: Chi Blast, Provoke, Stun/Dia in these things.

Farming tips... hmm, since I don't know your lvl ill give some generic ones.

-Don't farm one thing for long periods of time, you go insane and make it worst.
-Get all your gobbiebags, and keep your inv full of drops. When you get full sell junk to the vendor at a outpost/town. It adds up and you should learn prices on what things are worth so you dont accidently sell a 5k item for 235 gil.
-Explore wherever you can to find new farming spots. Like the secret crawler farm in Bubu Penn.
-Sell quest rewards unless they are for your job. Same thing for RSE. You can always buy that stuff back later and when your character is high enough its pocket change :p

I could probably give better if i knew your lvls :(
 
Dont you dare say anything about gil making secrets. they will be leeched and killed within .30 seconds of posting and be useless. as we speak there are people who never post looking at thi thread thinking "hmmm gil secrets eh?"
