Hello,

It might be easy and i am just not seeing it. I was looking in to buy all 3 Abyssea add-ons. But cant find where to buy it. i see Hero's Abyssea on screen for 9.99$, Does that mean all 3 or just that 1 add-on? Sorry, i get lost easy.. Thanks for any input.

I think you go in through the Content ID section of the FFXI page when you're in POL, then Register ID in the Expanded Services menu, but I won't swear to that. I just grabbed them as they came in.

And no, you'll need to register them all individually.

Yea, thats if i had the Codes for them. I guess just wait for them to come out on DVD/CD.

Thanks

I found it. Yea 30$ for them.. I dont think i'll get them. I'll wait till there ALL free or at lest 10$

Don't be a bitch. We all spent 30 bucks on em

lol, not bitching. Just wouldn't be buying it too soon. knowing SE, they should be selling them all for 5$ soon. lol

I never said you were bitching. I was calling you a bitch.

How much are the other mini expansions going for...?

From what I can see in your Screen shot those items are still $10 a piece. You might be waiting a long long time.

Well, you can expect that they'll be included in the next edition of the game, really. They've done it with pretty much everything else, after all. Might be a little while before the next "Ultimate" or whatever collection comes out though.

Prepare to not be able to do anything in this game without any Abyssea addons.

To be fair, when they did the first set of add ons there was a temp. deal the day before or after the last one was out to buy all 3 for $15 (after most of us had all ready bought the first two so that was ass) But I don't think that'll be the case with abyssea. People are too hyped about it still for them to lose money on it yet. However, It would be nice if they did a bundle for it. I just count my losses and considdered it a $30 add on/expansion since they have not talked about an official new expansion yet. Btw, so worth it.

(Bit of a bump and I apologise, but-)
Jesus christ, all this talk of Abyssea online and then I discover I gotta pay $30! XD Freaking hell, I knew the idea of getting 30 to 65 in one day, at least, was too good to be true. Curse you Square! But man, the idea of being cheap and leveling this way seems quite nice to me. Although I will admit I don't like the idea of going in there and being in a party with people leeching and not doing anything. I would prefer to hit things like I normally would. Is that still possible at 30, or do they make you stand back? I'd have no idea since I've never been there. =P But this'd be my chance to finally have a high level character even though i'd probably not be geared or have my skills capped like a competant player. >_>

If you have another job closer to or all ready at 75 You'd benefit a little more the first time around in abyssea. (unless you are a mage, they might sneak you in sooner) People who are just level 30 trying to get to higher levels might have some trouble getting into a party, Unless they know someone willing to let them leech the XP without being on key duty to open chests. That slows down XP gain if too many people are AFK leeching or can't contribute to damage or opening chests. It can be done, but the ratio has to be good. The keys can't be bought on the auction house or traded, so you'd have to get some curor (abyssea spendable conquest points) to buy a bunch of keys, and you get that by Xping in abyssea. As a lower level, Might get hit with an AOE on occasion, but you get that XP back a few seconds of standing back up since people are killing things so fast and the XP chain at max can go a little over 600xp a kill.

They also doubled the regular XP gain in some older zones as well as making the fields of valor system better. so if you had to do a few levels before landing an abyssea party, it would be easier then before. Once you get leveling in there, it is really nice. I'd recommend doing the quests as soon as you can to expand your traverser stone pool (time allowed in abyssea) and let them build up for a few days before you officially start leveling in there. each stone is 30 minutes, having 3 or 4 at once helps a ton. Then your party will build your time up as you are leveling so you end up keeping the time you've spent via stones. Supposedly getting skill ups in abyssea is easier, but some of my magic ones aren't capped yet, weird, since I have a few mage jobs I use often. Weapons capped pretty fast though!

That all probably sounds so confusing. It'll make sense after you read the quests though and see how people do things. Only other advice I can offer is, don't go near any monsters that look funny. (those are hard to miss though) But some have different names but share the same model monsters around them. A lot of them are sneaky and blend in!

Abyssea is fun times, Once you get settled in I think you'll like it. Probably will get some nice gear a long the way too!

Is gear THAT common? I'm so glad if it is because getting gear outside of the Auction House has always been hard for me. Never really had a LS that would help me and stuff, ya know? Also thanks for the indepth look. Sounds like something I'll definitely have to get at one point.

There's some easy gear (Perle, Aurore and Teal) that can be purchased with cruor.

Armor and weapons from NMs in Abyssea can be a little trickier. A lot can be solo'd but the drop rates aren't very good when blue !! weakness isn't triggered.

Seals to upgrade AF3 armor is a lot more accessible. Even if you don't have a linkshell or group, players shout in Port Jeuno to farm these NMs.
