where SE said TH stacks. I remember reading that it stacked and you only had to be in party/alliance to make it work. If anyone else read this and knows where it's at, please toss me a link.

You have to be within range to get experience. But other than that, not have to do anything.

I don't remember them saying TH stacked, I remember them saying each person's own "natural luck" stacked (for lack of a better term). For example, one person has 5% of some item dropping, and 2 people in a party would have 10% of said item dropping, 5 people would have 25%. Or at least that's how I always understood it.

thats always how i interpreted it too, just a thief's "natural luck" is higher due to treasure hunter and what not. I mean it would make a little bit of a sense that a party of say, 6 thf's, had a higher chance at said item than a party of say, 6 random jobs.

how much higher i guess is the real question.

edit: yea exactly like that screenshot, lol nice. silly people and their superstitions. might as well let the THF kill while facing southwest on a 47% moon.

Wasn't the article excessively vague, and open to interpretation?

I'd be interested in hearing exactly how the level discrepancy between yourself and your mob determines drop rate ... we all know that when fighting something at least at easy prey, it's more willing to give up the goods than it is at "Too Weak." Was this information in the same article?

I noticed that (sometimes) the more blood that is shed (a.k.a. death count) the better the drops.

Well, I think the real controversy is, would a party of six thieves be better off than a party of ONE thief and FIVE random jobs? We all know that six thieves will have treasure hunter at least one time over, so will be better than "six random jobs."

Would adding a second make a difference, though?

Edit: Oh, crap ... this was my 666th post. UNCLEAN!

6/6 TH4 thief party... that means Treasure hunter 24? i dont think so

I dunno if you can stack more than 4TH bonus

that was what i understand , my english is too weak -.-

Considering that treasure hunter only effects that player's drop chances, 6 thieves would have a much higher chance of anything drop than 1 thf and 5 other jobs.

I remember a specific BG interview that was on 1up and they weren't vague at all.

so, instead of swapping in a thf at the last few %, we gonna swap a party of thfs in?

This is a very good idea. Really, it can be maximized if alliance drops 2 PTs at 10~5% and make 2 all THF PTs join
(12 THF! ftw) and see what drops. I know its hard to acomplish, but worth trying.

We actually tend to do that, after a fashion. Starting around 5% hp, we try to swap in every Thf and /thf we got at our disposal.

I really thing TH does stack. I remember when archer's rings drop from chyme, our group of THF's and /THF went 3/8. We only tried to camp one time and got another ring after 25 kills. We could have got very lucky but I don't know.

I went back about a month later with another group being the only THF and killed at least 100 (not at the same time) and got nothing. This doesn't prove anything but I really think it stacks.

I have a quick question about stacking %.

If you stack 10% and 5%, is that 15% total, or does the 5% get applied to the number AFTER the 10% has already been applied?

I noticed that (sometimes) the more blood that is shed (a.k.a. death count) the better the drops.

Especially Tarus. The more tarus that die in dynamis, the more AF seems to drop. Although, idk if thats just a dynamis thing or not. Maybe we should through an alliance of lvl 1 tarus at JEJ, and then kill him. I bet the bastard would drop like 8 rabbit charms at once just because of the luck brought on by the slaughtering of tarus....
