What, no love for summoner?!

It's my 2nd favorite job. Why not start posting about your recent accomplishments on your Summoner job? No matter how little you may think it is, no matter if it's only "I hit (insert low level here) on smn!" or "I just got all the avatars!", anything is welcomed.

Come on, let's show everyone how much us summoners rock! :biggrin:

As for me... the recent accomplishment, like a month ago lol was getting evoker's horn +1. I wanna get all my SMN AF HQ'd (that's been my goal for a long time) just for the sake of having white boxes XD, but Limbus is on Hiatus so I gotta wait. =\

I'll post here again when a new accomplishment arises. ^^

Solo'd Steam Cleaner on SMN one time. Can't recall anything else remotely noteworthy though, not played the job in eternity. =\ Everyone wanted me on RDM and WHM.

Not recent... but the biggest and most fun thing ive done on SMN was the waking the beast quest. I loved it so much ;o expecially the carbuncle fight 16 SMN vs Carby and all his friends.

Aah Summoner, my main job, my most geared, most merited job and of course favorite job.

I haven't had any recent accomplishments however some of mine from the past:
-Solo'd the greater part from level 55 to level 75 in Uleguerand range.
-Solo'd 85% of all my Summoner merits.
-Capped my summoning magic skill on the day that they made summoning magic skill more useful.

Yesterday I was able to successfully hold Poroggo Madames with carby while everyone was charmed, and I didn't even have JA unlocked, lol. I actually enjoy the job more for stuff like that then doing dmg.

No recent Achievements

I do solo the Prime Avatars when im in need gil or solo aquarius for giggles. Newest thing I do is take carby up to a campaign area... send carby at a mob... and watch him die and i just chill there with no hate... its what he deserves when he aggros everything friggen thing in sea imo D:

Did you win? I've never been in a group that ended up winning. >< WTB is loads of fun though. Not an acomplishment, but I was around 1/25~ on getting Diabolos... Such bad bad luck lol.

Yeah we won got Shiva's Sword , Ifrit's Bow and Carbuncle cuffs as drops. Hach got bow , tasi got gloves and i dont remember who got the sword.

That really doesn't sound real to me, sorry.
We just don't have the MP pools to support doing something like that with any other avatar but Carbuncle.

And soloing something like Suzaku as summoner is extremely hard, especially since you have to take in effect that you don't have a lot of kiting pace, your avatar dies in 3~5 hits, Suzaku hits fast and has TP moves that can potentially one shot you or your avatar.
Aside from that, with Suzaku's evasion avatars might not be able to get enmity and with a fight of that duration you build more enmity then your avatar pretty easy.

I did trio the Suzaku Kirin pop with two other Summoners, and even that was not an easy feat.

The Galka that did this His name is "Yoshiki" and just because a person havent seen it does not mean its impossible.. "Have u seen a thousand dollar bill b4?" But yes its fact that he did solo it... You can believe it or not but a couple of players knows about it to..

Note that I left out impossible.
I mean Genbu has been solo'd by a Monk and Both the turtle and Seiryu have been solo'd by a red mage (Avesta).

However I do have a hard time to believe that he solo'd Suzaku using only Ifrit because our MP pool simply doesn't support that, Ifrit's perpetuation can be brought down to 5 MP per tick under normal conditions with current available gear (4MP if you own a penance robe) and will only be free under very specific circumstances if you own the relic body and head.
It's still about 25.000 hitpoints that need to be taken down with a mob that can take down an avatar in 3 to 5 hits.
Aside from that the enmity of the summoner keeps building up while the avatar starts with 0 enmity every summon which can become problematic in longer solo fights.

Under very bad circumstances I had to Trio the Suzaku Kirin Summons (~10.000 HP I think) with two other summoners once a while ago in a room that has more kiting space then the island and that wasn't easy at all.
And 3 summoners can take down a lot of stuff without too much trouble.

So speaking as a summoner that solo'd most of his carreer.
Yes, I'd like to see some kind of proof.

Alas sorry to say i cant prove it.. Like i said u can believe it or not. All i know is that he used ifrit cause there both fire based and that he used af hands and of course meds and yes it was not a short fight...

Update! Finally got my Summoner's horn after so long!^^Got it tonight in Dyna-Xarca:
Couldn't believe it myself, it was the first time I ever saw it drop XD I thought they were a myth >.>;

I'm so happy!

I didn't know about that Galka Yoshiki, would be nice to see some videos of him.^^
