hello all this is prbably going to be the most stupid thing i say but i have not gotten into a guild yet. i am wondering what guild i can make a profit in i currently have 250k to invest in and would like to know if guilds really do pay off. please give me info.

invest it into your delivery box type Phear then send it

All guilds pay off when you get to really high level with them. Some are cheaper to level (woodworking, cooking, fishing) and generate some nice profit; but the ones that generate the most (goldsmithing, leathercraft, clothcraft) are expensive as hell to level.

If you're nto going to take the craft to a high level, it would probably be better to not bother crafting, unless you want to save some money on stuff for yourself. In that case, cooking would probably be your best bet, but it depends on your job.

i think as long as you DONT do bonecraft you should find yourself in some money

If there was a magic recipe where you could make money of every time, everyone would be doing it.... ruining it.

In short, there is no tradeskill that can make you do money instantly. They key is High Quality (those extraordinary result if you prefer) items. This is where you make profit. This is also why you need to be high in level before you can start making those with some consistancy.

This is a post I did on my LS forum, about choosing a craft and how to decide. Take a look, might help you.

One thing for sure, 250K won't get you to level 80 in any craft. Some are cheaper then others. I can speak for alchemy myself, where 250K cna probably take you to 30-35 (it's been a while, but I think that's about it).

I don't want to burst a bubble, but don't expect to invest those 250K in a craft to get 400K out of it, won't happen.

as long as you farm your own clusters you just made profits... skillups and resale at higher prices... except with willow lumber >,<

I would say go with the craft that will most impact your job. IE rangers and ninjas typicaly should go for woodworking and dabble in the others to make ninjas tools and arrows.

Since you have limited access to gil, I'd say go into cooking first :D
You'll make profit pretty much throughout your skilling up as long as you make the right foods. Hope that helps your decision :D
