which to use

Another quick question, what should i use for spells like shock, burn, choke, and etc...... should i use the ice staff (elem. +10) or the matching elemental staff to the spell?

Not 100% as I havent played BLM a terrible lot, but I believe those are enfeebling magic. So probably whichever staff has enfeebling(assuming there is one) as I believe using the spell of the correct element only enhances damage from nukes.

first off there elemental base dots not enfeb.:wink: use the correct staff it help you more then 10 elemental.

The elemental debuffs are Elemental Magic, not enfeebling magic. To cut down on resists, it would be best to use staves of the same corresponding element. The strength of the effect is only dependant on your INT however.

It's really rare when those resist, so I wouldn't say it's NECESSARY to use the corresponding staff, but for best results definitely. Just at least try to NOT use the apposing staff (eg burn w/ ice staff). That's about the only time I ever see resists.

I tend to drown, frost, rasp if it's a melle mob and burn, shock, choke if it's a mage mob or I want to flex my e-peen on a bigger MB.
