Why in the hell are the ads getting more obnoxious by the month! Today I go to look up an item because it was a great reference for that quick "Where's it drop and off what mob." Instead, I get a fullscreen ad for LG phones. I recognize their need to pay for the hosting, but jesus.

Looks like www.ffxiclopedia.org from here on out... Are there any Firefox plugins for ffxiclopedia.org?

RMT gotta stack their papers somehow.

I don't know of a plugin for quick access to the Wiki... though I am pretty sure there's one for quick access to Somepage. Will that do?

My firefox doesn't have any pop-ups on wiki and I dont have any plugins. Maybe its your settings or something. But I agree I ditched somepage months ago

Its the quick access I want. I ask if there is a plugin to somepage because it is a wonderful site for just the facts. If I want discussion I'll visit ffxiclopedia.org or allakhazam. Somepage excels at the clean layout, and fails miserably at the user-friendly.

I don't use Firefox typically, but shit... If thats what it takes to get what I need, I'll hop on the Firefox bandwagon.

damn, no somepage equivalent =| wiki won't do partial text searches. I do appreciate the links though

the only thing I use somepage for, is food reference to get their exact stats. Even then I have the food page favorited, and popups completely blocked out, so its np for me. If cyclopedia had a thorough list of food and their effects grouped like somepage does, I wouldnt use somepage at all

I've been using Somepage for a while without ads Arc. If you do join the Firefox/nin bandwagon you can have the same results pretty easily. I never would've known they had full-page ads unless I read this thread.

I just went there, and I got a pop-up with Firefox, is there someway to go Nazi pop-up block? It does the same thing IE 6 & 7 does.

Pop-up blocked - then a pop up window still manages to open.

or wait... is it the lil flash things that load that cause the extra pop ups? As I block more content on the site, no more pop ups it seems >.>

I've never used Somepage. Allakhazam and Mysterytour are all I've ever really needed, though I know quite a few abandoned Allakhazam because of their distant, twice-removed, bare connection with RMT websites.

There's some good information in the job forums, at least, if you keep to what's stickied.

If you get Firefox, you'll also want to get the Adblock Extension. It's really nice, and you can even install an auto updater so you don't have to manually add items to the filter every few weeks.

Get Noscript, I hardly see any ads at all since I installed that and adblock plus.

This seems to work fine lol, don't have the adBlock Plus thing but I will soon.

Firefox, AdBlock (Plus), Filterset G (or similar), NoScript, Tab Mix Plus (or similar) set to single window mode.

With all that running, if by some miracle you get a popup, it'll just go into another tab, where you can close it without fuss.

Firefox/PLD has a higher base DEF against ads.
