Hey, I had quite the interesting night last night, and I feel compelled to share my story.
I live with my fiancé and with one of my friends whom I’ve know since I was a baby. We're just renting a room from my friend, but he's only around at night so it's pretty well our place. My friend went away last night on a week long trip, so it was just the two of us in the house last night.
We ended up going to bed around 12:30. I shut my bedroom door as usual, had a quick bicker with the lady, and fell asleep.
Now this is the part that still gives me chills. I awoke around 2:30 by having my lady shake me awake because our bedroom door was slowly opening. Now this door will not open itself, and I am indefinitely sure that I shut the door before I went to bed. I have slight OCD, trust me, that door was shut. The door is also quite tight to the frame, it takes effort to turn the handle to close and open the door. Anyways, back to the story, I jumped out of bed, wide awake now and shut the door.
I decided to go check out the house, to make sure no one broke in or something of that nature. You see, I’m from Canada eh, and we don't lock our house, sadly ever. The front door tends to get locked at night, but the back door and the sliding door have never been locked. Needless to say I ended up locking them last night. I searched the house, slowly, thinking about how this is how most horror movies start, with me getting attacked downstairs and the girl upstairs in the bed hearing my bloody scream of death. I found nothing though, not even an open window.
I went back to bed, putting my ladys mind at ease by telling her that I probably didn't shut the door all the way and that a window downstairs probably blew it open. I then laid in bed having my heart jump at ever little noise the house made for the next few hours.
I eventually fell asleep, but needless to say I’m curious as to how the hell that door opened on me last night. I'm not a big believer in ghosts, but I've got no explanation on how the hell that door could have opened. Maybe tonight I'll jam a chair behind the door handle.
