They make changes to the game, and it causes unforseen changes in other parts. If you knew a lick about modular coding it makes perfect sense.

ok so Kire i assume you can do better?? It's niot as easy as you might think running servers that are global with thousands of players. Sure I am no fan of SE but considering the minmal downtime this game has compared to other MMOs i have played might want to cut them a little slack sometimes.

Be thankful they can do maintence on certimn areas without having to take the entire server down. Things happen unexpectedly espacially with a server such as this running.

For the record, WoW does/did do maintenance for 4 hours every Tuesday. They are supposedly the "best", and they have to do it every week, for every zone, on every server.

I assume you have no experience at all with software development. There are too many things that too many people can break. They can't be expected to have thousands of people on hand to test every little bit of this huge game world.

are we on the test server?
the issue came up on our server. That doesnt mean it happened for every server.
It is common to have an issue come up on only one server, because you know...they are all seperate. Just cause they test something on the test server doesnt mean its gonna work 100% on all the other servers since unforseen things do happen.

The maintenance can be for any number of things... To fix something that they didn't forsee coming, to add things they forgot to include, or just to annoy the player base...
