White mage in Alliances

Assuming you can count fast, you can also use <aXY>, where X is the pt# in the alliance and Y is the member# in that pt. It's really easy to do once you get used to it.

I did not know about that command(I wondered about it since I use <p0-5> all the time) I'm definitely going to try that out.

Rappa wins and it lets you cast on blinking folks.

Since I can't rate you again, I will quote you. To acknowledge how awesome you are even if you like Santino Marella... ^^

One thing that really comes in handy for me in alliances in dynamis when I'm WHM and I'm curing across the alliance is using a <st> command before releasing a cure command from macros and using a controller for the PC is awesome. Using the directional up and down helps you see who u can target and who you cant. I haven't had a issue with targeting when someone gear swaps with <st> but I could be wrong or just that damn good XD but that (::ahem::) is what helps me.

If you use Windower, there are also publicly available (i.e., directly obtainaible from the Windower forum) aliasing scripts that will let you "bind" Alliance targeting to new hotkeys ... much like single-party targeting is already set to keys F1 though F6.

You could set everyone in Party #2 to be targeted with Ctrl+F1-F6, for example, and everyone in Party #3 to be target with Alt+F1-F6. In that way, you could easily be able to quickly target all 18 people with the same six set of keys.

I also have to agree with others about the usefulness of being familiar with typed commands. I can't even tell you how much I rely on /ma "Spell Name" (target). I can't be arsed to make a REAL macro for every spell and/or situation in the world (I'm not going to make a macro just for Warp, for example) ... if you can type quickly enough, it can generally actually be FASTER to manually key in "/ma 'Warp' <me>" than it would be to tab through four macro sets, find a pre-set macro, sit through server lag, and finally watch the command go through.

I had thought about that years ago, I didn't understand why they didn't do that to begin with. I might have to get that, that's exactly what I've been wanting for years.

Yeah I just posted the link two post above you for the windower alliance script ;)

ITs not that hard really since your not in party I delete all my party based spells and replace them with tareting macros for all the tanks. Yes I do have a controler but having a macro for each tank should make it much easier to get them targeted. Sometimes if you need to use cure spells for enfeebles ill seperate paralna sp0ells for each tank. Remember if your outside healing you don eneed curaga spells, regen, barspells, protectra erase dont need to be macroed, so replace all those macros if you can with specific targeting spells for each tank or make a new pallet for incase your outside healing

About the macros with windower. I don't know if this applies since I've never used windower or anything like that before. Alt+F4 = Quit Program. That won't happen, right?

I believe not, even without that script for targeting it doesn't close when you do that anyways pressing the X button closes it still though :D

I dunno. -.-;; Never used windower, was curious if it did that because I'd frickin laugh my ass off. Either way, with or without macros, you should be able to cure outside your alliance / party with the information provided in this thread.
